Feel like I've been mega lazy today, we all had a nap this aft and only woke up half an hour ago. Kiddies are having a picnic tea in front of tv, bit of a mix of chips, mini sausages, leftover chicken, cheese, cucumber and grapes, lol. When they woke, they were hungry NOW :D

Let's see, have I done more than I thought???

    Thursday - Master Bedroom
    Level 1
[STRIKE]Gather up all the laundry from various places
    Change the bedding[/STRIKE]
    Level 2
    [STRIKE]Clear the floor and Hoover
Tidy and dust at least one surface[/STRIKE]
    Sort belts/scarves/jewellery - can any be rehomed/sold
    Level 3
    [STRIKE]Dust the bed frame[/STRIKE]
    Wipe the door handles upstairs
    [STRIKE]HHMe time[/STRIKE]
    Extras
    Eat a frog
    [STRIKE]Do your tax return
When is your car tax due
More snow is coming - do you have milk, bread etc for the next few days? And salt![/STRIKE]

Ah not too bad then. I crossed of tax return but I don't do one :p but I did help my aunt over the phone earlier with some stuff about my gran's estate. Gosh they've had her house valued and its about £30k less than anyone thought! Still, they're in no hurry to sell. We're still valuing stuff so no probate just yet. My other aunt has taken something out of the house without permission from the executors though  and she says she won't return it. It's not worth anything, in the cash sense, nor is it of particular sentimental value. But she's shot herself in the foot, as they are working a "bidding" system and they've allocated that now as her first choice so she won't get the ring she had her eye on ;) families, eh? I've told them I don't want anything other than the pics my cousin has scanned, I'd love a copy of those and have a spare pen drive at the ready.

Dailies done and some of the bedroom.
    Cat stuff washed.

Did a Dancing on Ice impression on my way to meet DD. Had lunch then shopping done.

    Dishes washed.
    Kitchen sides done.

Hugs spoons and sticks where needed. Extra spoons for LW.
  • Evening all

Hope the interviews went well for the fly DH's and that good news follows.

LW sorry to hear your feeling under the weather, hope you feel better soon.

Wendy I hope you get the CSA stuff sorted, what a nightmare!

Finished work early today as more compute training for the new system. So I've come home and unstacked the DW and S&S the kitchen and bathroom. DS as pushed the hoover round the living room and study, so now I'm sitting down for a drink before giving the buget for the month a once over to check we are on plan.

After a stressful few day of feeling very tearful I had some good news today which would indicate that I can go on my next University Work Placement in the next few weeks which will help as things are not too good in our work place at the moment.

I need to go shopping but I waiting for OH to get home as we have go the first flurry of snow here. DS is already asking whats for dinner but I really can't decide what to do.

  • HHC done and list updated. Everywhere is looking a lot better now. :D
  • Evening all , it's been a long day following on from a long day and long night yesterday.

I have had a very skim of Fred only :o can't see any news for Mr Ionafan and Mr Macpep - so here's hoping all went well and positive news wings its way quickly. Thank you everyone for your goodwishes for me and little Skint :T:T:T

Been at hospital most of the day, DS has been out of nursery today with EX - MIL at home. The EX drove me because of the snow which was very good of him, never mind I can't actually get under the steering wheel now :rotfl::rotfl:

I have been let home on the proviso that the EX being a responsible driving adult gets me back to hospital at the first sniff of trouble - have had 12 needle stabs so far today, with upto another 9 I have to do myself before midnight - I can sleep but only on the proviso I test my blood and perform corrections every 2 hours with food and/or insulin - then I have go back tomorrow for more steroids and stabbing and do all the legal paperwork with anathatist ready for Monday - depending on how I cope with the WILD fluctuations the Steroids WILL have tonight and if assurances can be given to anathatist that the EX will remain in the house at all times with me after the second dose is given then I MAY be allowed home tomorrow night aswell :eek::eek::eek:

So it's all if, buts and maybes, but not sleeping at home and not sleeping at hospital - hmmmmmm, I think I would rather be at home lurking with my flyladies, watching poor quality tv at stupid o'clock than be in an uncomfy hospital bed listening to other soon to be new mums in various stages of labour, moaning, screaming and or swearing at their OH :D:D:D

DD2 is out on the Town tonight again :mad::mad:, so for the second night in a row, I have laid claim to her room while EX is in my room on DS duty to deal with night terrors and stupid o'clock loo visits :D:D:D

As far as flying was concerned I had a serious bout of nesting hit yesterday mainly as my blood was sky high and it was all I could do to get it down before having the big meeting at hospital today:

    I managed to
    finish v@xing behind the settee
ironed and re-stuffed the settee cushions I boil washed the other day
    v@xed 3 hallway rugs
sweep the remaining parquet floor that wasn't destroyed in the flood in the Room of Doom, and v@xed the rug that covers over all the nasty trip and splinter hazards in there
washed, dried, ironed and re-made my bed ready for DS and EX for last night
washed, dried and remade DD2 including removing blue hair dye from pillows :mad: ready for me to use
washed, dried and remade DD1 ready for me to use for when I come home with Skint Baby and need to nap away from DS (to prevent any sibling rivalry I don't want him thinking he is being replaced :( )

Fed the DW, S&S kitchen, sinks and loos only

Got Mr I chicken out of the freezer to defrost for dinner today, along with strict cooking instructions for EX - MIL for preparation so if I did come home it would be edible - so in about oooooooh 10 minutes I will be stabbing again, some quick calculations and I can work out how much I get to eat :j:j:j cos I am starvin' Marvin!

Time to get the kettle on - depending on how I go I may be able to squeeze a post or two in between going back to hospital tomorrow - no flying tonight, but I will happily polish some spoons for my lovely flyladies and gents - I will leave them in the jar - help yourselves
The cold never bothered me anyway

Hi there Skintbreeder. It's always good to read your posts as you are so positive! I don't know how you manage to do all you do, but I'm keeping everything crossed that all goes well for you and - first of all - you blinking well enjoy that chicken dinner!!

Huge good luck vibes coming your way for everything and huge 'well' wishes well with all the insulin and steroid related problems, too.

I'm with you about being at home - much better to be in your own bed if your'e not sleeping anyway and having a mooch on here. There are lots of fly ladies rooting for you, so good luck again and see you later.

Good health to all those not well; Lamewolf, I hope you soon feel better, and also have a pleasant night tonight and enjoy the film tomorrow.

Back from work, little tidy round, but chilling out round the fire tonight, cat not long got off me, and we are having a home made curry soon, yum! Film later and have planned a lazy day tomorrow, all being well, as snow storm due!

    Bye for now, R x

    Hi everyone, we're home

My DH has asked me to pass on his thanks to all of you for your good wishes :T

We had a 4½ hour train journey to Hereford this morning and it was very cold but with only a few flakes of snow. The trains were running almost on time, which was good, with 45 minutes connection time at Birmingham. It was lovely to see the beautiful countryside around Malvern and Herefordshire.

The interview went quite well - DH came out smiling - and the interviewers wrote down a couple of points from his presentation which they said were good ideas, though there were also a couple of things where he had got the wrong end of the stick! But all in all he saw it as quite positive :A and the interview experience is all to the good.

This job is based in Shrewsbury, which is quite a long way out of our preferred area (we want to be well within 10 miles of my DS1's house in the West Midlands, if possible) and covers a large area that extends a long way into Wales (way out of range), but DH has also applied for a different job in Walsall which would be much more accessible and has got through the first sift on that one, so we are hoping even more that he will get an interview there too.

I spent the time in Hereford at the Old House museum - small but very interesting, with some beautiful furniture - and I've also read half a book, so I've enjoyed my day out too.

The journey home was much quicker as we only had 8 minutes between trains in Birmingham :) and we even got seats all the way home from there in a silly 2-coach train :D
Normally there are 3 coaches, but this time, in their wisdom, Cr0$$C0untry decided to take one coach off at the height of the rush hour  and it was packed.

Hope everyone has had a productive day. Good to hear from you, SB5 - take care, and I hope you get a bit of sleep tonight. Here's wishing you a better day tomorrow, LW. Glad you had some good news to cheer you up, life unexpected.

I'll be back to flying and working tomorrow - going to relax in front of the TV tonight for a change :j

Valli - you're a star :T:T:T Please tell them where the bananas are from, but only after they tell you how delicious the cake is ;)
Nooooo :rotfl: - just told them they were unwanted - TMI and all that;)
Boss asked if I was 'nesting'!:rotfl:
Merely pointed out that, after years of having a rubbish oven I now have a kitchen it's a pleasure to cook in;)
Going to portion up the other banana cake and feeze some slices;)
    Anyway cake was much appreciated.

Flying - managed a tiny bit of ironing, having washed and dried another load. Careful folding took care of some;)

Snow here. Settling on side roads. On a course tomorrow t'other side of Steel City (Loxley no less)

Hope the Flymen are going to be out from under their ladies' feet;)

Been to Tesco Express. Stocked up on essentials - milk, squash and wine;) Wish I had sourced some seville oranges - I ne-e-e-e-e-e-d marmalade. Wish I had ordered the knitting wool for the Prima pattern. Being snowed in and getting on with useful tasks like knitting and jamming would be bliss.

I've been to the shops too - A**i had no green milk at all and Mr T only had it in 6 pints size - so I took 3 of them which should keep us going. Snow shovels were doing a roaring trade too. Kids gone to bed all excited because there's meant to be a lot of snow tomorrow .... we'll see.
