With the exception of the floor (I don't want to wake the neighbours just yet and still don't know if the hoover parts are dry), I have completed yesterdays LR tasks. Disgustingly there was an ice pop wrapper behind the radiatior. Considering that my children don't have them, it has to have been there for over 5 years. Yuk! Thank goodness for flylady.

  • Good morning everyone
Will DS get home ok? Has he driven in snow. I told DS2 that if it started to get real heavy and settle to ask to leave early to get the bus (he only has enrichment this afternoon).

I went to collect him :D The timoing of his afternoon exam, and the bus timetable meant he'd be waiting about 90 mins for the next bus. Roads weren't bad, really, considering the amount of snow we had. It's thawed pretty much, now, but our outside is icy  Take care today, ladies ;)

    More marmalade making today :)

    Morning all

No more snow, just icey here.

DS2 has an exam this afternoon so he is heading off in a minute.

I want to do better with the flying today and start chewing another frog.

SB5, you have started my day with a smile :T
I have been a good girl, and only doing 5 minute stints, my blood is better for doing something rather than nothing, still higher than it should be , but nowhere as bad as it was.
    Good on all counts :)
Star of tonight's flying is - DS :A:j:A:j:A......who at the tender age of 3 has achieved the following....
DS is now having some "quiet TV for a good boy" so is very happy and blissfully unaware he has been working very hard
Definitely an :A - but I bet he just thought it was fun being allowed to work the washing machine! I should be delighted if my DGSs were expected to do even a little of the same. Yes, children should be children, and all that, but what's the difference between sorting washing and sorting beads - *and* you get to do grown-up things like pouring the soap powder and pushing the buttons :j
(Nanny, it's YOUR tidy-up time for your toys now!)
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
"Don't go upstairs or downstairs empty handed!"
Poor EX-MIL came downstairs carrying an empty toilet roll tube for recycling as it was all she could find to bring down ;)
At least she found something, or she'd have been stuck up there all evening!
now if I can just get Skint Baby into good habits like DS, this house should start flying itself in no time :)
You'll crack that in no time :D

I probably achieved less than your DS yesterday. I started well with my HHC but then everything went pear-shaped when I sat down at the computer. It was early afternoon by the time I heard from my colleague again (fortunately we have very similar ideas about how the job should be done) and by then the lack of sleep the previous night had caught up with me, zzz zzz, so I then didn't achieve much more :( until after our evening meal when DH went out wargaming.

Today I feel much better: 6 whole hours' uninterrupted sleep; a much tidier study to work in, now that I've moved the big crates (just don't look in the DR=RoD!); and the few bits of ironing were dealt with around 7.00 while my anti-virus check was running. The utility is now clear of gibble, so straight after breakfast I can sort the cupboard in there and clean everything. A friend is coming round for a meal tonight - a real friend who doesn't mind eating in the kitchen! - so I have got to get through Level 1 at least, but there are no hotspots now that DH has moved his painting table back into the garage :T

It sounds like breakfast is landing on the table (that's generally DH's job :A) so I will go and eat it and then start flying properly.

Hope everyone has a good day. Please help yourselves to (((hugs))), sticks, spoons as needed - and a big KICK to bonnie, as requested.

    morning all
hope everyone is well, warm and safe. And hope no-one has far to go today as if its anything like round here the ice is treacherous.

got a poorly DS he had the ickness bug in the night so is upstairs sleeping it off (ive been cleaning since i woke up at 6am, and found his note!!!) to be honest would sooner have been woken in the nigh if hes incapable of cleaning up after himself, and please dont think im being heartless he is 18 so covering 'evidence' on hall carpet with a towel leaving the bathroom in a state and putting a note on our door to me isn't really acceptable! oh well joys of being a mum.
was so of hoping today was bathroom day as ive blitzed that. walls and floor scrubbed and disinfected, sink, toilet and bath scrubbed inside and out and taps and handles washed and sanitized.
landing bookcase emptied washed dried and some books wiped sprayed and put back others are being binned:mad: carpet washed febreezed door fames and handles wiped down and all cleaning cloths binned. decluttered DS2 off to school and rung DS1s college to say he wont be in.
