Don't you just love teenage boys. Half nine and DS has just presented me with a muddy blazer and trousers. Fell down a bank on the school field whilst snowballing. I have been home since before six so I could have washed it and it would have been dry by now.

    Hello!
Can I join please? Really need to get into good habits and this seems like the perfect place to start.
Decided to bake a lemon drizzle cake this eve to use up the lemons going squishy in the bowl (also trying to get back on the OS wagon and what else can you do with a couple of past-their-best lemons?!). Whilst that baked I managed to cross off all 3 levels, and now get 10mins with a cuppa whilst it cools enough to drizzle.
A bad day turned good without resorting to gin- maybe there is something in this 'house proud' stuff :rotfl:

Hmmm not sure this flylady thing is right for me but its sure been a productive day so maybe I'm taking my own twist!

Day 1 of trying to follow the flylady thread and already gone major league off list. Kitchen is now spotless, fridge has been cleaned and sorted, drawer full of random cables and leads has been tidied (looking for a particular power cable) but not a single thing done off Monday's list! Well OK the cable drawer is in the living room so I suppose that could count as a declutter but that's about it.

OH irritated me by criticising the way I was cooking dinner so didn't want to be in the same room as him till I'd calmed down which is why the kitchen got the full force of my first attempt at flying. Might try to sort LR when kitchen day comes round!

DD is going to think I've been replaced when she finds no washing up in the morning :D Its rare when both of us are home as there's nearly always more dishes than room in the drainer after tea :o

  • Narc0lepsy - I have been a good girl, and only doing 5 minute stints, my blood is better for doing something rather than nothing, still higher than it should be , but nowhere as bad as it was.

Sonastin there is no right or wrong way on this thread, no judgement from your fellow flyladies and flygents sif things don't get done on certain days.....some days we might struggle to get basic dailies done, never mind a level 1....then on another we might plough through all 3 levels, do extras, chew some frogs and even catch up on previous days - flying off list or not....stick with us, we love hearing how everyone is getting on :grouphug:

Update from the Skint Ritz tonight:

DD2 is still not right, she has barely functioned on any level today, so she will have some flying to do tomorrow to make up for it.

Star of tonight's flying is - DS :A:j:A:j:A......who at the tender age of 3 has achieved the following

played "colour Fling" in the utility - very proud he sorted 3 full washing baskets sorted into whites, pale blues/greens, reds/pinks/oranges, greys/blacks, plus handwash only plus washable night-time nappy pants and non conditionable microfibre cloths - (while in between sitting down out there, I S&S all worksurfaces, put nappy pants into B!otex to soak, re-stocked my laundry trug, folded up frogs that had made an impromptu fort on the clothes airer from way before Xmas, and tucked airer away for the night )

helped with sweeping up by bending down with dustpan and brush (to collect the gibble that I swept up using my Head to Hips mantra)

fed the WM x 5 and TD x 4 including unloading TD lifting up toddler sized handfuls at a time to go on the freshly S&S utility worksurfaces (ready for me to sort and fold tomorrow)......he filled the conditioner dispenser himself (although I did the powder) and pressed the start button, de-linted the TD filter (I emptied the water container) and pressed the start button on TD aswell

Tonight, in addition I used steam mop on Utility floor (boy did it need it!) S&S all 3 toilet sinks, bathroom mirrors of toothpaste splatters at head height , hallway mirror of makeup/hairspray residue, hot-spotted the tops of my chest of drawers, served dinner up, loaded top layer of DW

DS is now having some "quiet TV for a good boy" so is very happy and blissfully unaware he has been working very hard

EX-MIL retrieved chicken and pototoes from oven, loaded bottom layer of DW, S&S dining room, at DS's prodding tidied up the throws on the Sofa and collected all the pages of her newspaper together tidily :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: - (Nanny, it's YOUR tidy-up time for your toys now!)

DD3 has been doing homework, so has been let off extra flying tonight

In addition to Valli's mantra of "Don't put it down, Put it away" I have another one that I am quoting like a broken record "Don't go upstairs or downstairs empty handed!"

Poor EX-MIL came downstairs carrying an empty toilet roll tube for recycling as it was all she could find to bring down ;)

I will get Skint Ritz back on track:D.... now if I can just get Skint Baby into good habits like DS, this house should start flying itself in no time :)
The cold never bothered me anyway

I've filled 5 large bags full of decluttered clothes, bedding, shoes, unloved handbags and belts. It's blue bag collection at DS2's school and all money raised from the collection is going to the school fundraising for sports kit for the £££££ trip in 2014. I've now realised the collection is actually on Wednesday so I'm going to buy more bags tomorrow and try to be even more ruthless.

DH worked from home today and cooked dinner for tonight while I was at work. It was a lovely surprise to come home to after our trip to fracture clinic with DS3.

I hope to see my BF tomorrow. I've not seen her since the Jubilee weekend and it's been too long. I need to get to Mr T or there won't be any dinner tomorrow night!

So he's cooking dinner for the rest of the week then, taking on board your comments on his failings ...:rotfl:

So it's working well then :D

I need a HUGE kick up the backside tomorrow morning please. Night all xx
