Galaxy S3 Contract

Options
Hi,

I'm thinking of getting a new phone and a local outlet today offered me a 24 month contract for the Galaxy S3 Mini for 24 months at £26.99 per month. This includes owning the phone after the 24 months, unlimited calls, unlimited texts and 1 GB of Internet usage per month.

Is this a good deal?

Unless it is some leasing contract you always own the phone from the start of the contract.

Do your really need unlimited calls and 1Gb?
  • No but that was the only deal regarding the Galaxy S3.

No but that was the only deal regarding the Galaxy S3.

The handset is around £300 to purchase outright, so the tariff is costing about £14.50 a month for the airtime.

£14.50 wouldn't be far off what I'm spending at the moment; are any other deals on offer with the S3?

I don't know as I don't do contracts for anymore than 30 days notice, in teh 1st post you mention S3 mini, which is not an S3 so you maybe confusing the deals, as Grumbler suggests, how much airtime do you require?
That will vary from person to person, my current O2 deal offers unlimited data, but it's rare nowadays if I use 500mb, so the Virgin sim only at £12 for 1gb, unlimted text and 1200mins looks like a £9 per month saving , if I didn't send so many picture messages. But I want a tariff that suits my useage not tailor my usage to suit a tariff.
  • Sorry it is the mini I'm after, I felt the S3 was too big.

If you don't mind '3', then it is available on £18-£22 contracts with £50 quidco cashback:

    24x£20 = 500+5000+Unltd
    £9.99+24x£18 = 300+5000+Unltd
24x£22 = 1000+5000+Unltd (and extra £44 cashback can be claimed).

Otherwise, buy it sim-free as advised above and use, say, on Ovivo PAUG that offers 100+100+400 for free every month without topups.

Virgin Mobile have good £7-£10-£12 sim-only tariffs.

The S3 mini i not exactly small all be it smaller than the S3, consider the S2 plus, not quite launched yet though.
