fay cannot get on with the new photo bucket at all! have tried to post pix on here and they disappear or end up elsewhere, ggrrr.
Have got lots of new canes of the primocane raspberries so i'm thinking that i may make a new bed just for these as they are prolific and spread easily, although got a feeling I'll be cursing them in a couple of years time!

I've got mine in a 1 metre wide strip growing against a wall and they're starting to put out canes at the paths edge

As it's Yorkshire, we've got some serious rain and thunder storms heading our way in the next couple of days. Will my courgettes survive or should I do something??

Thanks John I've done that too so hopefully they're growing nicely under the ground as they are above.

Fay thank you so much for taking those photos. I've shown hubby and barked my requirements :D

Little Vics, remember my courgette with umbrella last year? well if it gets that bad you could try it too, but they should be fine outside.

I have today to make the windows water tight before the rain comes which includes filling gaps in the beading and a coat of oil base primer and some silicon sealant. And the large door to sand and get a top coat on. Then a big tidy up of tools which were left out yesterday as we left late for family visit.

But first pot watering as they didn't get done last night.

Back from holiday! Nothing appears to have died - trusty watererer must have done a decent job!

That said, I looked at the garden at 1.00am. I wonder how it'll look in daylight.

I'm also wondering when the first toms will appear!

Been AWOL for a couple of days, sorry. Had other matters to attend to:

I'll have a look what's happening in the garden tomorrow. :)
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

Well I checked all the garden out, & all appears well.
Gave the stuff in the greenhouse a feed last night. Decided to leave the stuff outside alone, as storms were forecast.
Was then woken up a few times in the night by thunder etc. Glad I left it.
Rainfall was heavy, but not too excessive imo, so I doubt any plants ave been adversely affected.

Cucumber plants have doubled in size in the week I was away! Loads of flowers on them, so I'm very hopeful there...

MBE, I've seen 2 frogs in my garden in the past 3 days. One was happily sat on our front door step!

In other news, I've only got 1 courgette on 3 plants. The flower has fallen off the end of it, and there are no flowers to be seen anywhere else. Is this normal?
