I use Navfree. Maps are stored offline in SD card.
Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

Google Maps when I have 3G, Navfree when without.

If Google Maps could re-route without 3G (ie only using downloaded maps) then I would never have tried Navfree.

Lets talk as Money savers do? pay for an android app- ... no can do!
    So here's my review:
Sygic - after 7 days of usage free wanting money from being 9/10 turns to 5/10...

GoogleMaps- when driving data doesn't catch up on maps 3g, plus it is a cost!... 6/10

google maps using app Car Home not bad sound search integration, but rest of an interface a tad more of just app, not an navigation app 7/10

Waze- looked really good, but then couple of times screen gets covered up in some stupid adds! Let's say I was meant to turn of motorway and missed which exit I was meant to take and ended in a jam for an hour! 3/10

Polaris Navigation- just bearable for usage, rather poor on features-but maps are loaded as what are specified when need to... works! 5/10

MapFactor GPS Navigation- - initial irritating issues with map downloads (sorted) ; let down by not so stella interface features 7/10

NavFree- Great interface, functionality, struggling to find faults, but somehow is not as good as IE (actual SatNav unit) 8/10

I found Google Maps was fine, if you have enough mobile data on your plan to use its no extra cost.

I dont like Waze. An ad appeared in the middle of the screen once while I was driving. Very helpful... Also it wouldnt let me search for an M5 postcode, it kept thinking I meant the M5...

Google Maps is the only other one I have just now and it's much better than Waze.

    I prefer my TomTom though.

M4 London, with zoom, as traffic was heavy (looking/thinking as where to turn off- maps froze!
There is an option to preload maps, but not that clever to be loosing connection and not getting enough of a data to load up traveling at 50...

I was just wondering why, on a money saving site, nobody has mentioned the specific cost of any of these.

M8 app = free. :) (Except for data usage. which doesn't seem high).
