Anyone used discountedstampsforpostage.co.uk?

They really have cheap stamps, cheaper than buying anywhere else and with free delivery;

Obviously the reason why i am asking on here is because it may not be a genuine website, there are contact details as well as an address so it may be a proper company.

Anyone had any luck with them?

    Hi Jelley

    I did gamble on buying stamps once from a website like that, I'm sorry I can't remember if it was actually that one or not but basically what I got for my money was an odd collection of unfranked second class stamps that had been soaked off envelopes (which is what I always do with unfranked stamps that come my way - got loads at Christmas!) and had to be glued when I used them. I don't send many letters these days so find I rarely have to buy stamps now.
  • Did you buy them in the end or not? x
  • I did buy stamps from them. It took over three weeks, several unanswered emails, and finally a phone call to finally get them. They were new, self adhesive and OK. Bought some stamps again recently, paid special delivery to get them next day. It it 11 days now, no stamps, but the email was answered this time, saying: "we do have to allow the maximum of 10 working days after payment is cleared for your order to be despatched.. I can confirm your order is now with the despatch department and will be sent out within the next couple of days". This was five days ago.

    Possibly they print the stamps or whatever. The address given shows a cottage in a village, don't see any "despatch department" there, unless it is in another country, then the time lag would make sense.
  • Gosh, not good stuff......... If you manage to find a trustworthy company selling cheap stamps, please can you let me know.... Thanks for the update :) x

    I made a substantial order with these people over two months ago, nothing has been received. Have been told they would refund me over three weeks ago, but despite daily phone calls to them I have not received any refund as of yet.

    Have had to contact my bank to retrieve the money. Still waiting though. I don't think I'll be going anywhere this site again any time soon.
  • I ordered 100 stamps from here. I later discovered that the dispatch time was 5-10 days, which was a little disappointing, but not as disappointing as still having nothing 3 weeks later. In a reply to my email, I was told that dispatch times were behind due to the large volumes of orders received. They were unable to give me any indication of when I'd receive my order, so I was offered a cancellation/refund, which I accepted. I was then told that all refunds can only be actioned by the MD who was out of the office but that it would "...be refunded in a timely manner." Three weeks on and I've still had no refund and no correspondence to let me know when I can expect it.

    Shockingly awful service. I'd rather pay full price at the local Post Office than waste time chasing these people for order status updates and refunds. I can confidently say this site is NOT worth using.
  • Ordered over £100 worth of stamps 3 months ago. I queried after 1st month and was given a guaranteed delivery date and an offer to purchase MORE stamps at 20% off and an extra fiver off. A Month has past their guaranteed delivery deadline and still no stamps. They have agreed to refund but state that only the MD can refund and I will receive confirmation shortly (I suppose shortly means another 3 months - if ever)

    If paid using credit or debit card then I would be looking at doing a chargeback to get your money back. There is a time limit for chargebacks so don't let it to go past these.

    http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/problem/how-do-i-use-chargeback/

    Time limit There is a time limit on chargeback claims - typically 120 days - which starts from the day you become aware of a problem. There is also an overall cut off point of 540 days for Visa chargeback. Therefore, your deadline for requesting a chargeback is 120 days from discovering you have a problem, or 540 days from the transaction date, whichever comes first.

    Ordered £100 worth of stamps 2 months ago. They have promised guaranteed delivery dates which have long passed. States will refund when md returns from hols. Not holding my breath, classic scam
