I agree Zeewrath. The experience of people on here shows the courts seems to grant set-asides willy-nilly (regardless of what the rules may stipulate).0

IMO it's one rule for solicitors and another rule for LIP's. (by Judges)
Lip's tend to get given the run around a lot more than learned friends.0 -

Just perhaps that's because most Judges are (Deputy DJ) or were Solicitors.....

There's been a ruling on flight delayed by bird strikes. I can't post the link but a judge rules in favour of a Thomas Cook passenger delayed for 5 hours. I found the article in the Telegraph.0

Most likely, because that judgement thankfully hasn't set a precedent.0 -

I beg to disagree. Most judges will bend over backwards to ensure that LIPs are not disadvantaged simply by being LIPs. But this doesn't mean that LIPs should expect preferential treatment.0 -

Hi folks,
I've got two claims against Thomson currently on the go.
Both for the same holiday. One outbound and the other inbound.
I started the claim last July (as soon as we landed) and have been rejected by Thomson with each letter I sent.. Not that they replied to each.
I also wrote to the CAA and they agreed that compensation was due on one of the delays. The other they say is classed as extraordinary circumstances.
I wrote an LBA for both, but 3 months have passed now and I've had no reply whatsoever.
So now I want to go down the court route.. But have zero experience or knowledge with this.
Can someone tell me the steps I need to take and the approximate cost?
Thanks in advance0
