Did you book the flight yourself? Do you have no emails from Monarch? Did you use their website? If so, your login - with past bookings - should still be live.0

I'm in a similar situation where I have no proof of boarding, but have debit card records of flight purchase and transactions at Gatwick during the delay and at destination the following day. Anyone know how to get into Avro's website, or is this just another example of Monarch's crafty obfuscations?
I too am in a similar position, whereby I have no boarding cards as they were printed off at home before leaving for the airport. They were subsequently retained at the boarding gate, whereas on the return flight, we were given the top half of the printed boarding pass to keep. Our only means of proof are the return passes, credit card statements and car hire papers signed on arrival at Malaga.
Curiously, logging in to the purchase history section of our account on the Monarch website, there is no record of our flight whatsoever, even though it was less than 2 years ago!0 -
Coffdrops/Wing Co - you have more than enough information. If you do go to Court then in your statement request that the airline provided proof that you were not on the flight.0

Centepede suggest I post the differences between them ( 2 pages back)..
The parts that are the same I referenced and the difference's are the ones posted , as suggested...
AQ completed and returned, now waiting the next stage....:):)
My thinking is given they have confirmed twice in writing that the issues arose on the 2nd and not the 3rd when we flew out, they cannot rely on EC's as a defence....although that is what they are doing...:(0 -

Thanks Mark, did not think of that......will do so for any further info ...:beer:0 -

Even if the technical failure was discovered on the day of the flight, it doesn't make it extraordinary circumstances. It's well worth showing to the court the inconsistency of the explanation (assuming you have it in writing) but don't box yourself into the position where acceptance that the fault was discovered on the 3rd means you have no case. You do.0 -

Hi All,
I've been quietly monitoring this thread for a couple of months now and thought I'd have a go at claiming compensation for a flight from July 2012.
I submitted the Monarch claim form online on 12th May including an email with the original flight itinerary and a copy of my passport.
Expecting the standard EC response, imagine my surprise on 19th May when I received the below response:
Flight Details: ZB534, Manchester to Palma, 03 July 2012.
Dear Mr xxxx,
I am sorry to learn of the disappointment that prompted your correspondence. Providing our passengers with safe and efficient service is our first priority. I would like to reassure you that every effort is made to ensure the flights depart on time and in the unlikely event we are unable to do so, we aim to get you to your destination at the earliest opportunity. That said, our ability to keep disruption to a minimum is always dependant on the resources available to us on the day.
I can confirm that your claim for compensation has now been assessed and you are entitled to compensation in accordance with EU Regulation EC261/2004 due to your delay.
In line with the above a cheque to the value of £338.65 (the Sterling equivalent of €400 based on today’s Reuters exchange rate) will be forwarded to each claimant within twenty one working days. Please be aware that payments for children will be incorporated in the total value of the cheque forwarded to the adult who submitted the claim on their behalf.
As you can see, no reason was given for the delay which was nearly 7 hours but, as long as I receive the cheque, I wont be pursuing that :j
Mark2spark - can you update the op please?
Thanks for all the advice given on this thread, it definitely gave me the 'umph' to pursue the claim.
PS. Good luck to all those who are going through the process!!
Mike0
