Haven't really caught up with things tonight. Are you and FK running Land Rovers then to be able to use home made biodiesel or just older diesel cars?
Ahhh, Land Rovers, have a thing for them, must have had about five of them, the last one was the only reliable one I ever owned.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Should you not be stripping on the stairs or plastering type thing instead of being on here :eek:

I've got work tomorrow but will be stripping at night againApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

Oh, another thing the ranger comes in handy for is picking up the dumpy bags of roof off-cuts for the log burner, paid for itself in the money it has saved me in skip hire and cheap wood.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Never tried it, to be fair, it does not seem to need it for the amount I put in, I only really put some in when I have a can of fuel and Im not sure if it is 2 stroke or not, so dare not use it in anything else (which surprisingly happens far too often) or if it is cold. Its just a knacker I use for work as couldnt take my decent car there for fear of it getting scraped/hit/vandalised. I originally bought it to save the skip hires when doing my house up, and became so attached to it I cant get rid of it (and it is rather cheap to run
)
Cheap to run I think will be the mantra of 2013 the way things are going.0 -

Unless your supply is very free of animal fats and water then your biodiesel will not be top notch and you'll get sludge and crap blocking all your filters and stuff.
Paying for fresh oil with PP's, APG's socks or wangling other spend and saves, accosting friends for staff discounts etc is far easier. I'll look at making bio if and when I have to.
I am considering twinking mine though as it'd save a fortune!

You would be paying extra to lug around the extra fueldavemorton wrote: »I dont really bother with putting any diesel in except when it is really cold, just oil and a bit petrol, nothing too scientific. ALthough I have fancied getting hold of a 12v baby bottle warmer to put around my fuel filter, thats meant to help.
Baby bottle warmer ? !!!!!! Dave ?Haven't really caught up with things tonight. Are you and FK running Land Rovers then to be able to use home made biodiesel or just older ( bangers) diesel cars?
Despite my best efforts I just cant get my head around this.
How much do you save per year v's the risk of expensive repairs, and smelling like a burger van :rotfl:#

Very much so, and if ever you run out of fuel, no trecking all the way to a petrol station, just find the nearest corner shop“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

I prefer to think it smells like a nice BBQ, especially in the summer.
Saves about a third of your fuel costs, all adds up“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”
