The 4p socks started scanning at £6
I returned one or two pairs *cough* that I had "got as presents for the men in my family from the bairn but changed my mind about doing it"
Cost was 80p for 20 packs, returned (over several days and several stores) value was £120 put onto Ts giftcards and I then bought £120 B&Q vouchers with it
Icing on cake was spending it all on a 25% off event so got £160 worth of goods for 80p

11 years in a 2.0 td, no problems until it fell apart @ 72,000 miles
1 year 2.5 v6, mare from day one and has unquenchable thirst for unleaded ( smoothest so far and has some serious punch)
After the td4 bmw 2.td.
250,000 miles on the clock and he was saying he blew the transmission I think ( I am not a mechanic by any means :rotfl:) because he changed the 2 tyres on the back and they where about an inch difference height wise to the front  should be changed in 4s.
Might not have been the transmission so dont jump on thatbut he defo bust something that costs a fair bit also mentioned vectra diesels they dont even buy them in because of exhaust, turbo and something else one leads to the other and its about £3000

Quite a few (but not all) older diesels will run on it.
Legally you can use 2500 litres a year.
My diesel would turn it's nose up at it. There is talk of allowing and increased additions to real biodiesel and mine is one of those that might not take kindly to that let alone a sniff of veggie oil:eek:Awaiting a new sig0 -

Yeah, by Biodiesel I meant a veggie oil blend:rotfl:

A lot of the modern engines don't like anything over 5% bio (which is what most supermarkets sell). The newer common rail diesels won't tolerate veg at all.
Although the older (specially non turbo) diesel engines are low on power, they will often go around the clock 2, 3 or 4 times running on heavy mixes of oil with little going wrong. When they do go wrong they are generally a lot cheaper to fix than new common rail diesels too.
Of course its a renewable energy resource too so carbon neutral and no fossil fuels get burned.0 -

hi everyone:). hope all ok. spent ages this morning trying to get through to emergency gas board number as smelt gas outside my house near my gas meter, found out later on news it was because of some factory in france:o, gas cloud came over and affected kent, sussex and surrey- woman on phone at gas board said they had a extremely high number of calls but didn't say anything about what was on news
We could smell that too in Portsmouth city centre today and then outside Adsa Bedhampton too, then we heard on radio that it was from chemical plant in France :eek:fairclaire wrote: »The flooded part if my garden seems to be attracting Alot of wagtails this year, pied and grey.
