I think your old favourite (the Denby) is still on a 13/1 finish but I doubt it will go back to full price.. but you never know;) Some of it has been as low as £22 in some stores in this area.Awaiting a new sig0 -

I couldn't agree more.
My house tried to kill me a couple of years back when the faulty boiler developed a CO leak.
Luckily we've had an alarm for years and it did it's job correctly. I think I even tried to kiss it after!
I'm very strict on safety here so these things don't half shake me up.
But we're all still here and safe so that's all that maters:)Historic Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!
Mortgage started June 2015 = £170,000 January 2022 = £134,000
Saving for Xmas 2022= . . Amazon £55

I found some dates left in a packet (bbe Dec 2011) but they were too wizened really to be useable. I cut into one and it shot up and nearly blinded me
My SR flour is bbe Jan 2012- no worries I thought, I'll bung in a bit of baking powder. Oh dear bbe May 09  perhaps not then :rotfl:
If this turns out like anything resembling cake tomorrow I will be impressed.
Just my two pence worth, dark muscovado is too strong and over powers the cake and try soaking the dates seperately if still beyond it fine no loss , as for bbe dates :rotfl:I would try it anyway.:)The person who never makes a mistake never learns anything.0 -
Offers possibly ending at T tonight (so watch out for OOD SEL offers early tomorrow):

Persil Small & Mighty Biological Liquid 2x Concentrated - 54 Washes (1.89L)
McVitie's Jamaica Ginger Cake
Fabulous Bakin' Boys Choccy Flapjacks (6 per pack - 162g)
Tesco Jaffa Tangerines (650g)
Tesco Green Seedless Grapes by weight
Tesco Juicy Pineapple Chunks (400g)
Tesco Juicy Pineapple Chunks (200g)
Tesco Large Loose Cherries by weight
Gillette Blue II Disposable Razors (20)
Listerine Antibacterial Mouthwash Total Care (500ml)

Listerine Total Care Zero Mouthwash Alcohol Free (500ml)
Ryvita Fruit Crunch Crispbread (200g)
McCoy's Ridge Cut Classic Variety Crisps (15x32g)
Nestle Aero Bubbles Orange pouch (113g)
The Persils (powder and liquid) seem to be doubling in price, if you can find any of them still and find them with half price SELs.
May have to buy even number of the Pineapple Chunks and the Listerine as per previous multibuy offers. Apologies: I don't know previous prices or offers as I wasn't quick enough to take this information before some of the prices changed tonight.
Some Tommee Tippees Closer to Nature Bottles 6 at 260ml each appear to be at £12.99 until 15/1/13 - may go back up to £25.99 so look for mispriced SELs on 16/1???
Rootednomad, where are you? I'm trying to take your crown, but you know better than me on all this - I don't know how you get your list or where you get it from? In any event, you're brill on this.:)0 -

Scary place:eek: Gone downhill a bit then. Guy that owned the company used to work for in Sunderland ended up there. He was definitely nutty as a fruit cake.Awaiting a new sig0 -

Yes, those were the days before showers and the once a week bath if you were lucky. If you were even luckier, the bath water was hot:rotfl:
I bumped into Robin recently at the ArtsBank and he still uses roll film for his photos but doesn't take pictures like that anymore. These days South Bank (or anywhere else for that matter) isn't the kind of place you could turn up and start taking pics of kids in the street:eek:might be 2nd or 3rd hand

DW checks our smoke alarm regularly.....whilst cooking:rotfl:
On a more serious note it's good advice and only takes a minute.
Also don't do as my DD and housemates did and remove the battery because it was getting annoying with it's continuous beeping(battery low) Of course they then forgot all about getting a new battery until I noticed the lid hanging down and went immediately to get a new one.Awaiting a new sig0 -
