Trying to snow here a few miles east of Darlo:)
Nice pic again David.
Saw you mentioning a few days ago industrial theme photos. Reminded me of these taken by an old acquaintance of mine. Brilliantly captures the desolation and character of places like South Bank (Boro not London:rotfl:):rotfl: when in decline in the 60s/70s due to the death of steelmaking and shipbuilding. South Bank used to be known as "slaggy island" in it's heyday.

WOOHOO!!! The snow is finally here, hope the other 3 foot of it follows!!!
Fraid not Dave...there's a cunning plan afoot according to my reading of the local forecast. Light snow tonight so you'll get to work but then it's going to chuck it down so you'll get stuck at work:rotfl::rotfl:Awaiting a new sig0 -
Being a girlie I wasn't allowed to go fishing but I errrr "followed" my 4 brothers and by the time they found out I was behind them the trip would have been scuppered cos 1 of them would have had to take me back, so they let me stay as long as I kept stummmm. Jeepers it was cold it took me 3 days to thaw out. Funny how you had to climb over the "DANGER" barrier to get on it, don't thnk any of us actually read it after all it must be ok cos all the grown-ups did the same:DWhen The Fun Stops Stop0

...that reminds me to mention for the DTDrs. There were a lot of offers finishing today. Called into my T just before closing and had a look but I'm sure a few of them have been changed to 23/1 today?
Many of them were half price offers on electricals, housewares etc but wouldn't expect many of them to go back up to originally quoted price as they seem to have been inflated to make the offer look good....no change there then:rotfl:.
I'm glad you said that. I checked a few SEL's which I was sure ended today and they were dated 23rd. Theres still a few things ending but not so many now.0 -
My plate needs smashing
but on the upside 2nd new kitten is settling in really well & the sisters seem over the moon to be reunited
Snowing in Darl
Anyway on a lighter note went to the woods today with both dogs while it was still frosty less mud or so I thought.
Bailey is about 10 weeks post op on her leg and she ran for 25 minutes today there and fantastic news no limp afterwards.
:T:T:T:T
So hopefully thats it she has been sorted at last bless her.
ThSeen as he was mentioned here the other day here is a pic of Dexter.
Hopefully nothing showing in his eyes DM and tweets

(please excuse my long post)
Hope you don't mind me posting (I don't want to sound like a drama queen)
I kept smelling a weird melting rubber/plastic smell today and couldn't put my finger on what it was.
We've just found out the socket on the 2 way extension lead has melted (no idea how electricals work so not sure how it managed it) and I'm sitting here in a mass panic thinking all the 'what ifs'. I'm slowly sending myself in sane. My house could have burnt down, anything could have happened, why didn't the fuse/surge protector work, was it my fault? (I'd managed to leave the extension plugged into a multi 8 way socket - my own silly fault I know) surely something should have cut in to stop it from doing this?
Sorry if I sound like I'm rambling, Hubby seems a lot calmer than I am. I bought both from T's a few years back (obviously have no proof now) so they probably won't care but I think I need to tell someone as if it's gone like this here can it happen to someone else?
Thankyou for listening to me ramble, a quick vent here and a glass of Baileys should be enough to help calm my nerves a bit. I'll try and take a photo of the socket so people can tell me if I've been a silly mare and this was my own fault (nothings broken or blown up or anything, I'm just down a multi socket and an extension cable is all)
Gonna go and kiss all my kids good night and hug them as these things don't half give you a wake up call. Back in a bitHistoric Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!
Mortgage started June 2015 = £170,000 January 2022 = £134,000
Saving for Xmas 2022= . . Amazon £55
