Just the once when I lived in the lakes, but managed to get out after a day. I know it isnt a nice thing to happen, and dont wish it on anyone else, but If I could be snowed in for a week, not being able to get to work, it would put a :D on my face.

    And me too :j

The sods would only try and make me go and work at my closest NHS place. In my case, across the road

Love the ones of kids from back in the day, god we where all street urchins back then:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Yes, those were the days before showers and the once a week bath if you were lucky. If you were even luckier, the bath water was hot:rotfl:

I bumped into Robin recently at the ArtsBank and he still uses roll film for his photos but doesn't take pictures like that anymore. These days South Bank (or anywhere else for that matter) isn't the kind of place you could turn up and start taking pics of kids in the street:eek:

Been ages since I tried to put a photo on here. Hope this time worked.
For anyone doing/done the BzzAgent Colgate ProClinical Electric Toothbrush testing. You may have already researched the cost of replacement heads. My results showed £10.99 in Asda for a 2pk and £18.99 in Tesco for a 4pk

Today in Asda I purchased a 2pk. SEL showed £10.99 on offer at £6. Didn't notice when the offer ends I'm afraid
    The end is nigh

The easiest tea loaf you will ever make:)

    13oz mixed fruit
    5oz sugar
Half a pint of hot strong tea
    11 oz SR flour
    1 beaten egg

Soak fruit and sugar in tea overnight
Next day add flour and egg and mix well.
Put mixture into lined loaf tin and cook for one and a half hours in a medium hot oven.

    Eat with lurpak:)

Right, cake is in progress - the dried fruit (bbe Mar 2012 but unopened :D) is soaking in the tea with some demerara sugar. I wanted to use the muscovado sugar but I hadn't stored it in an airtight container when I last used it [STRIKE]a couple of years ago [/STRIKE]and it's ROCK HARD :rotfl:(Couldn't risk waking DS up by bashing it, no cake is worth that)

I found some dates left in a packet (bbe Dec 2011 :D) but they were too wizened really to be useable. I cut into one and it shot up and nearly blinded me

My SR flour is bbe Jan 2012 :D - no worries I thought, I'll bung in a bit of baking powder. Oh dear bbe May 09  perhaps not then :rotfl:

If this turns out like anything resembling cake tomorrow I will be impressed.

    A bit of a glitch?
(Not much of one as not much a great saving and not as good as DTD from T but nonetheless...)

I've noticed that, logged in only, the Deli 24 Ham & Cheese Snack (3x28g) is showing as A £1.00 and as T now back at 50p - this time until 16/1/13 - even though I can't find the product on tosco.com. Therefore buy in A for a possible APG vs T???

Not v. good though, at least not compared to potential 'paid to take away' from T if any of you were lucky enough to have a mispriced SEL (see the previous thread, my post on 9/1/13, no 9543 from page 478).

    9/1/13 re. purchasing at T:
"You might also hit lucky on the Deli 24 Cooked Ham wrapped around British Cheddar (3x single snacks) - new price is £1.29. I think they were 50p just now, although MSM is now saying old price was £1 on the price history graph (possibly wrongly, as it's not my recollection) - MSM describes them as "Deli 24 Ham & Cheese Snack (3x28g)."
