The easiest tea loaf you will ever make:)

    13oz mixed fruit
    5oz sugar
Half a pint of hot strong tea
    11 oz SR flour
    1 beaten egg

Soak fruit and sugar in tea overnight
Next day add flour and egg and mix well.
Put mixture into lined loaf tin and cook for one and a half hours in a medium hot oven.

    Eat with lurpak:)

    That looks absolutely delish:)
Back from shopping with Nannylala and decided not to wait for whoopsie time. The sky is looking decidely white so thought it best to get out and back. Nannylala picked up lovely Xmas serviettes for 10p in S's though, and we got our whoopsies at 50% in T's. Not really brilliant but still better than full price;)Nannylala got another 8 bottles of Lenor for 68p a bottle because she'd noticed the deal runs out today so she used her vouchers:T:T
She keeps looking at me like I'm mad though when I smell the satsumas and clementines in T's:oPlease tell me someone else does it, the more "orangey" they smell the sweeter and juicier they are. If I can't smell anything I won't buy them and she thinks its really funny, it really tickles her for some reason:rotfl:

Latest update for NI folk re Ts coupon policy

So the latest update for NI shoppers using the Tesco competitor coupon policy is:
Officially Tesco stopped taking competitor coupons everywhere including mainland UK on January 10th.
Unofficially Tesco NI stores are still taking them.
Apparently Tesco were unhappy with the outcome of relaxing the policy outside NI so they pulled it. In NI they will be relaunching the coupon policy soon - officially.
So basically it's as you were. Staff will refuse to accept coupons when they feel like it regardless of any promo materials on display and Head Office will fob you off leaving you in no mans land, mortified at your treatment in store.

Just posted this on FB. Mum & me getting fed up with the runaround and lies

I've just read this and had a brainwave, the last time I phoned to complain about not getting a DTD the lady at CS said NI have a different CS number as they have different marketing teams etc. maybe call and ask for that number? Maybe she was talking rubbish but she seemed sure of that.

Smelling fruit and veg is a great way to see if it has much taste. I sniff my oranges and lemons before buying if I am not in a hurry.

Folks - I feel my last post was going into a rut of repeating myself obsessively to the point of boredom - however, and I don't work for Sada - I'll just conclude this off by saying when I buy in S or T and price-match to A, I always feel I've been charged too much if S/T then reduce their on-shelf price to match A - as it would then be better to have bought the item in A (vs S/T) for 10% lower than I'd paid. You always feel a bit ripped-off by S/T if this happens, or indeed, if any competitor to A (T/S/M/W) then reduces their price to A's (even if A's shelf price has then increased!). Or it may be better still, if T reduces its price to match A, waiting till the offer at T ends for a possible misprice on the shelf and DTD.

Where I need help though is finding those 1p or 2p items in T that are far cheaper than any of the prices I obtain via PPs/APGs etc. Clearly a lot of you are far better than me on that score. If my whole shopping gets to costing me 10p a week, or even into minus amounts, I shall be very very happy indeed. Must go... I'm missing my whoopsie things and should have been doing my Av W shop today but haven't been out yet...!!! See you later on.
