can you appeal three times to popla??
I wrote an email to scammer ukpc quoting that i noted my appeal rejected and that i was going to popla my case. i havent heard a thing or got any letters from them since.
So shall carry on getting tickets and ignoring them as normal. The word about the scammers is spreading like marmite here in the westcountry.
We workers all love it and the ppc hate it :rotfl:0 -
Devon lad you can only appeal to popla once per ticketFor everthing else there's mastercard.
For clampers there's Barclaycard.0 -
SoUKPC have rekected your appeal and not given you a POPLA code. Another BPA CoP breach. I think every single (even minor) breach should be reported to the DVLA until they get fed up with the deluge of complaints and possibly actually do something about it.I wrote an email to scammer ukpc quoting that i noted my appeal rejected and that i was going to popla my case. i havent heard a thing or got any letters from them since.0 -

I bet shona will find a way round your lease.
Ill eat my hat if she allows the appeal......

Lots of bits in it thanks to people on here, but my lease grants me the right to park without any mention to a permit or a PPC or the landowning being able to change parking terms etc........
Is there any mention, either in the lease or the appeal, to 'the right to peaceful (or peaceable) enjoyment'?? In other words, the PPC trespassed in order to issue the ticket and have no right to enforce any parking scheme there without a mutually agreed variance to the lease, even on behalf of the Mgmt Co. Their jurisdiction begins and ends with the communal areas of the car park only.Je Suis Cecil.0 -

Apart from 20 or so tandem spaces (with locking bollards) that are privately owned the whole car park is communal. It is first come first served. There are insufficient spaces for the number of apartments (stupid planners) and the lease makes reference to the fact there are fewer spaces than apartments and that a space is not guaranteed. I suspect you thought I had my own spAce. Sorry if this wasn't clear. If I had my own space I would have over 400 of these PCN's as I wouldn't display a permit :-)0 -
Dang!!
Still, it will be interesting to see the [STRIKE]rejection[/STRIKE] appeal response.Je Suis Cecil.0 -
It would therefore appear to follow that, if they did not issue a ticket at all, there could then be no loss.spacey2012 wrote: »To put it in simple terms, they are claiming the charge reflects the true cost of issuing the fake ticket.
So if it remains unpaid, they have truly lost that money.
This would be issued in to accounts as uncollected costs and offset against profits.
Would they try such a thing with the inland revenue, i would say not.
So why not, because it is not a loss, but a charge and penalty.
To be honest POPLA is bought and paid for by the crooked industry that is PPC, they are not going to bite any hands are they.
It is obviously of no legal standing, or she would be struck off the Barr for ignoring points of law.
Just a thought. If they want to stop losses from unpaid tickets then don't issue any tickets.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -

This thread is almost 6 months old and things have significantly changed since this POPLA decision. Best not revive this as newbies about to embark on the POPLA process will be very confused by this - one of POPLA's first attempts, and not their finest hour
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
