    Hi Redman

you would need to ask the DWP about their processes for referring to us. I can confirm though that Atos Healthcare do not have access to people's dates of reassessment.

My word !!! that was quick, must be a record !!! this issue must be a "hot potatoe", a nifty bit of book passing there, too.

What about my other question ?
"Another question, who carries out a pre-board check on a claimant, is it the DWP, or is it ATOS ?"

To the Atos rep: Is this ex ATOS Nurse/HCP telling it how it is?

    Quotes:

''It was very much a target driven role and you were under constant pressure to meet these targets. We had to see a minimum of 6 clients per day, some nurses were managing 10.

My manager had a firm, but polite, word with me in a quiet corner, and reminded me of my role, which was to meet targets''.

''The doctors would ‘cherry pick’ the easy clients, as they were paid per case and often saw, on average, 14 cases per day''.

''We were monitored closely on how many clients we put into Support Group . If our totals were above the national average, we would have to ask an ‘experienced’ member of staff for permission to put a client into a support group, even if it was plainly obvious they could not return to work.

Those members of staff who had a low number of support group additions, were praised''.

''I assessed a client with mental health issues who I entered into the support group. I was so concerned about her I stayed with her, in the waiting room, until a family member came to collect her to take her home.

I was instructed to attend a meeting with my manager and was given a verbal warning for costing Atos money – when I asked how this was possible, I was informed that during the time I was with this client in the waiting room, I could have assessed somebody else''.

More examples from her here: http://atosvictimsgroup.co.uk/2013/01/31/ex-atos-nurse-reveals-the-real-inside-story/

''I could not live with the knowledge of what I was doing and the effect this could have on somebody’s life.

Atos Healthcare do not care about their staff and more importantly, do not care about their clients. They are more interested in making money.

This is not a job any nurse should do, if their NMC registration means anything to them''.

There has been a few HCP's over the last years Blow the lid on whats been going on at the Atos medical centers

Hopefully more will speak out now that the storys have made there way to the House of commons and there are a growing group of MP's that are willing to spake out about the abuse and mistreatment of some of the most vulnerable people In our country,

Yes we all know there are some people that try it on, To get a life payed for by the taxpayer. But these are only a small % of the overall people claiming.
    Real Vulnerable humans Are suffering,
Yes the DWP and the Government have a lot to answer for. But so Dose ATOS.
It;s a Shame that someone from the dwp Is not man enough to come on here and defend there own part In this.

  • Just had a interesting chat with someone from dwp and they told me that they themselves are investigating atos as atos are telling claimants one thing then telling dwp something different. Sounds like atos are getting caught out by everyone

Well we have seen that ourselves ,

But If you tell a lie often enough it dose become the truth.

I don't Blame the Atos PR Rep, They are only posting what there paymasters tell them too.

Teen's letter about cruel effects of Atos hand-delivered by Record to Iain Duncan Smith's Whitehall office

KIERAN MCARDLE accuses Atos of killing his dad after the French firm claimed he was "fit to work", despite suffereing a stroke that left him paralysed down one side and blind in one eye.
There have been thousands of complaints and appeals against the fitness-to-work tests being carried out by Atos.
He wrote: “Those Atos people should hang their heads in shame for what they are doing to these poor disabled people.

“They are supposed to be targeting the fraudsters, not killing off the genuine folk with their disgusting tactics.”
Labour MP Tom Greatrex, who has campaigned against Atos, said: “This awful case shows exactly why the assessment isn’t fit for purpose and needs urgent reform.

Atos Healthcare spokesperson told the Huffington Post UK:

"Our trained professionals go to every effort to carry out their carefully defined role with compassion and sensitivity for the concerns and pressures that can be felt by those being assessed.

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Do Atos really expect people to believe such tosh!!
  • Well I have to give it to Martin he has really done well in the google ratings, which I think is the reason for allowing Atos on here when no other forum would. This rep isn't here to answer questions that's plainly obvious from the cherry picking that's going on, and to be honest 99% of the answers are readily available on the Atos or the Dwp site.

Thank god for copy and paste.
