vvvvvvvvvvvv,
The phone system used in some sites is internet based, so is not part of the local telephone exchange, which is why the area code might be different.“Official Company Representative
I am the official company representative of Atos Healthcare. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -

Hi vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv,
I am not sticking up for Atos in any shape or form and am still waiting for them to answer my questions however I can confirm that with an "internet" phone number you can select area codes from any exchange in the UK and often other countries of the world too. You can see some of the numbers just one company lists at https://www.voiptalk.org/products/Incoming+Numbers. I'm sure there will be other companies offering similar services.0 -

There are that many The Atos Rep has not/will not answer, we might as well just chat between our self's
Just what is the point of atos having a PR rep on here, who only answers questions that you can easily find the answer too on there web site or In the forms that they send you.
Yes there have been a couple of questions were they have made something clear that we/the person who posted the question was not 100% sure of.
But then you have the Answers that are inaccurate.
Or dose not fit an answer that has been given to a similar question.
Besides that, The Rep only ever comes In for five minuets at a time. And then some days we don't see them at all !
(I do think they are reading most of the time. they are just not logged In, Atos are keeping an I on us):jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -

It's pretty much along the same lines as Skype. The calls are transmitted over the internet until they arrive at your local exchange where they are connected to your phone displaying the number that the company has chosen to use.
