Thank you. I will do that now0 -
Can someone clarify this points system for me please? Is it cumulative ie if you 'score' 15 points overall on the form does that put you in the support group or do you have to 'score' 15 points on one criteria only? I'm very confused and still waiting for the ATOS report upon which the DWP based their decision I should be in the WRAG. Help!0

In theory once you accumulate a total of 15 points no matter how you score them then that should be enough to put you in the support group. The problem you will have is that often you are not awarded the full points you should receive resulting in you being found fit for work or placed in the wrong group.0 -
That is incorrect. Getting into the support group is not about points (15 needed to pass on ESA); you have to meet one of the support group descriptors, otherwise you are put into the work group. Nothing to do with points beyond the 15 needed to qualify for ESA.0

Hi Richie-from-the-Boro
I’m sorry, you would need to contact DWP if you wanted to ask about the contract we have with them, and as a member of the customer services team I’m not able to talk about commercial details. But I’m happy to try and help with any customer support issues that I can.“Official Company Representative
I am the official company representative of Atos Healthcare. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -

Why is it that i failed the assessment the first time, and my documentation was not written down or recorded by the "Specialist", but on the second ATOS assessment i passed, while being told that none of my conditions had been recorded on the first assessment?
Assessor "You have something wrong with your arm? We have no record of this, let me see....oh yes, that is terrible..."
Me: "I had this in writing on my first assessment, why have you no record of this?"
Assessor " um.... between you and me your last assessor was only a RGN and i am sorry she did not do her job properly.... (mortified blank look on her face)"
Please tell me what i should do to put in a official complaint about ATOS and its assessor?Owed out = lots. :cool:0 -

Hi Widelats,
You could try contacting ATOS complaints, but don't hold your breath, we will just spout some copy and pasted apology and that will make things better, in the meantime, did you know that you lost a year of benefits and it was all down to our unbelievable assessments, and that we probably got your benefits in payment from the Govt instead of you? HA HA HA HA HA, anyways, good luck in your quest to bring any justice coz we are exempt from prosecution HA HA HA HA HA :money:Owed out = lots. :cool:0 -
Please tell me what i should do to put in a official complaint about ATOS and its assessor?
Formal ATOS Complaint: Write to ATOS customer services and label as a formal written complaint. When fobbed off, escalate to second tier. When fobbed off, escalate to Independent Tier. ATOS have targets that 19 out of 20 of their assessments remain fit for purpose, so earlier tiers are often fruitless.
Complaint procedure is here: http://dwpnegligence.wordpress.com/2012/11/27/atos-complaints-procedure/
Complaint to NMC: Details here. They will probably do very little but it is good to build up a case history: http://www.nmc-uk.org/patients-public/Reporting-a-nurse-or-midwife-to-the-NMC/
MP: Copy correspondence to your MP and possibly Michael Meecher
As the poster above intimated, ATOS and the DWP are currently quite unaccountable for their actions, but the more (legitimate) complaints which are highlighted, the better.
Best of luck with it,
Dee
