    Hi halight
This is absolutely correct – each report is specific to the individual’s situation and their own specific problems. “Consistency” means a consistent approach across reports completed in different parts of the country, and by different HCPs, in terms of their layout, legibility, and the way in which areas such as clinical examination findings are presented in the reports.

    Thank you for that answer,

Now please tell me how a HCP asking a question,
    Like.

"Can you walk to the local shops"

How dose that fit In with "Consistency" No body live the same distance from the local shops,

Also how dose that fit In with the individual’s situation ?

The HCP Dose not ask how far away the shops are. They could be three doors down or three miles away,. They only ask "Can you walk to the local shops."

You see someone who live very close to a local shop could answer yes I can walk to the local shoo. They could then lose money because of this. Someone else who live a mile from the local shop could say no. And get extra money.

How dose asking questions like that help with your "Consistency" and the individual’s situation when not all of the info is available, because the question is so remote
:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j

I had a benefit medical back in November. I have a variety of problems including under active thyroid, mental health issues, and I cant walk very far without getting out of breath due to having heart problems. I was placed onto contributions based esa support group with a review in the medium term. Why have I been today sent yet another questionnare to fill in; my health is still the same; I cant go through this every 3 months!!

Contact the DWP and ask them for the report the atos person sent to the Decision Maker . On it it should have a reassessment date if atos have done their job properly!!!

The ESA85 ATOS medical report did not give a date on it.

It just said "Review in the medium term".

I am bloody furious at having to do all this again!!

Hello everyone, this thread is the reason I registered on the site.
I had my face to face health assessment on 6th march, and as of yet I still have not heard anything about any decision. After reading this thread I am actually getting quite worried now. I never really knew anything about Atos before reading this thread, and although the woman who did my interview was quite nice I am starting to think that mine and my son's immediate future is in the hands of people who do not really have any experience or interest in what my difficulties and health are.
When I went for the assessment I actually took my 3 month sick note from the doctor with me as I had just been to pick it up, I felt it a bit odd at the time that she had no inclination to even look at it and see what was on it. She just said "I have to send it to where I sent my previous one".
So my one question is why do you write in the appointment letter to bring medical evidence etc to the assessment if no attention is paid to said evidence?
I also noticed in the waiting room there was a few noticeable smackheads in there. Why is it that people who chose to indulge and get an addiction are more "entitled" to ESA support group than those who did not choose a disibility, but unfortunately got what life handed to them?

P.S Are this Atos really as incompetent as I have been reading in this thread?

Why on earth would any person think a stranger(Atos representative would be more qualified to assess a persons health and capabilities than a person(GP) who has been around and treating person affected by the condition for possibly years!!

No wonder this country does not know its !!!! from it's elbow at present, when those in charge of it are making such serious misjudgements as this.

P.P.S I just filled out my claim form for DLA yesterday, do you recommend (forum members not Atos rep) that I hang on to it till I get decision on assessment, or send it off anyway?

    Thanks in advance
  • I don't think it makes any difference because Atos will have already made their decision and as soon as they receive your DLA form they will have made a decision based on what day it is or you could be lucky and they might ask a proper qualified person to look at it? but that's very very doubtful.

  • Anybody know how I take a complaint to a second level? I made a complaint last month and should have had an answer on Friday unless they contacted me to ask for more time and since they didn't I asked when I was going to get a reply and received a very snotty reply back telling me that I need to wait and the 4 weeks wasn't until the 19th which is wrong as my complaint was dated the 15th.

    Hi SPELLKASTER

if you have received the ESA50 questionnaire this will have been prompted by DWP sending a referral to Atos Healthcare. DWP determine a review period for each claim and will have sent us a referral based on that.
