I'm not impressed at the moment, but I'll persevere. I've tried Toluna, and Swagbucks, and don't seem to qualify for much. I've just reached 66, and half of the questions, even though you put status, as retired, ask you what job you do, etc, and then after, wasting 10 minutes, kick you off. I don't drive, so mystery shopping is out really, but I wouldn't mind testing products, and writing reviews, even answering questions about music, and media, and even groceries, but seem to get kicked off, because I don't fit the profile they are after. Do we stop shopping, using tech, and listening to music, when we reach 66? I must have missed something.

nectar canvass is very poor, 2 points for a time out (1p) Even if you complete a survey its 20-120 points so 10p-60p for up to 20 minutes of your time.

Populus on the other hand pay £4 cash for a 20 minute survey

I don't believe there is one person who is satisfied with the way they are treated by survey providers.
You'd think they would want to keep us 'onside' to get the best info from us!
Isn't it time that this sector of marketing was brought into line along with other measures.
How can we kick this off?

Toluna/Swagbucks generally offer surveys on behalf of other companies and some of those are not running the surveys either and apart from anything else TL/SB take their cut before you get anything - I have seen swagbucks "surveys" offering less than 10% compared to going direct to a proper site (20p  for a £3 survey!) - those 2 are at the bottom of my list for survey sites
For me (60-65 age group) PopulousLive have recently been offering several surveys a week  (£1 per 5 mins) and I consider them one of the best along with Consumer pulse (mostly recording purchases) and between them the 2 sites are worth £100s per year for me.

Thanks for that, I'll take a look.

I signed up to i-Say because they seem to be offering Tesco vouchers, but when I go to redeem my points these are currently "out of stock". The only ones "in stock" seem to be Amazon vouchers, which I don't really want. Does anyone with more experience than me know if the Tesco rewards are likely to return? Or am I better off picking a different voucher?
  • IMO, too much effort for very little gain and since I tried this (with Curious Cat) I am getting numerous dodgy calls a day to my mobile.  Deleted and won't be using again.  On to the next money saving idea.....

I can deal with spammy emails because I have a dedicated email for surveys etc.

But I never ever give my real phone number to survey sites. Why would they need it?

The main reason why I avoided Curious Cat.

ysense is the worst though. Most offers trying to get you to through the 3rd party detail grabbers

My circumstances changed recently and I thought I had better update my profile on Nectar Canvass.  Apart from anything else I don't want to answer a question "wrong" because it doesn't match my profile and get rejected, but also I do have some conscience about being an honest participant.  I couldn't find out how to update my profile so I emailed for help.

The answer was that they lock your profile for six months once you've filled it in, and if you want to change something you have to ask them to clear the whole thing and fill it in all over again.

That's another nail in the coffin of Nectar Canvass as far as I'm concerned!

The rewards at nectar canvass are rubbish,
Its run by Dynata who run E rewards which offer much better value.
