It really depends on each individual lifestyle as to whether the £16 per month is worth it or not.

Breakdown cover £80 per year (covers all vehicles owned by account holders and registered at home address) Could be more if both account holders drive and own separate cars.

5* defacto Phone insurance (with £50 excess like platinum account) £8 per phone (£16 total for joint account)

Worldwide multi-trip family travel insurance (around £70 per family of 4 for one trip)

    Tastecard membership

    National trust passes

so for someone who is paying for all of the above separately.....massive savings to be made, but not worth it for everyone!

Better off with Nationwide FlexPlus :D
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂
  • We've just upgraded to the platinum account, and for us I think it's worth it.

The total cost is £192/yr on the joint account.

We both drive, and the same level of breakdown cover through RAC/AA is £120. Add that to £60/yr phone insurance for us both and we're already saving, then the travel insurance and taste card is an added bonus on top.
