It's more user friendly than the official passport site. I suspect they are aimed at people who don't have English as their first language.

As someone who got has far as filling out some of the form --it really isn't, it's virtually the same.

    Q1 on the form
    • Please confirm that you have read and understood the warnings on the previous page: * I have read and understood the warnings on the previous page
However the previous page is the form selection page that has no warnings.

But then if you answered Q1 to claim you had read some warnings

The Post Office also provide a Check and Send service

  • I just spent an hour on a premium rate call to our bank trying to stop the payment to HIPAY or whatever name they go by.
My bank have stopped my card and say they will then open a dispute when the amount shows on our statement. this then takes 30 or more days etc etc .. Very clever scam by this company that charges £1.53 a minute to contact them.. nice to see I am not the only stupid person duped by them..

I don't see what hipay have done wrong? They are a service like PayPal. Nothing to do with UK passport.

You're dispute is with UK passport not hi pay

FYI, the Post Office will check your passport application details and whether your picture is acceptable; it's worth doing this as you may otherwise find that the form gets returned to you if you've made a mistake.
  • I thought this was a help blog not a site for budding comedians.

the Google link takes you, it goes straight to the form to fill in.

but even at the top of the form in the menu it gives a link to the IPS website, which also indicates its not the official site and also as the passprt agency is a government dept (home office) then any URL they use will be a .gov.uk

a whois search also should rasie doubts

    Warning—Incomplete Record
The record we received from the Whois server may be incomplete.
