I've had a bad cold with little energy since NYD. The place is a wreck. Am very tempted to go and send me a get well soon card as per tip on here earlier, but because we have someone round tomorrow, I have bribed dd with the promise of a pack of moshi-monsters to clear up for me. Loads cheaper than a regular cleaner.:D

My OH saw it on BBT, loved it, searched fleabay, bought it, used it once! It was nice while it lasted.

On the rare occasions that I have a burst of ironing (I'm sure the doctor could write a prescirption to cure that!), I use it but TBH it is more faff than just folding. Takes so long to get the clothes to actually lie flat and if you use it with a little rumple, you unfold to a MAJOR crease. Whereas folding with a rumple just looks unfolded! I only use it to differentiate the things that have been ironed from those that haven't so that if something important comes up where I should make the effort not to look like a scarecrow, I know what (more like if!) I can wear that has been ironed.

OK, this is really top secret fellow slobs, even I'm a tad embarrassed by it.:o

The PE kit, or other clothes that are "must have" that morning but have missed their wash slot.

Bung 'em in the tumble dryer with a piece of kitchen towel dabbed with fabric conditioner, for about 5 - 10 minutes on warm. For maximum effect shove the kitchen roll inside the garment.

You get the "Just washed smell".

If you have appointments and notice at the last minute some dirt on your trousers/skirt, apologise to the customer as you've just been splashed by a car and puddle, or if that is not feasable, eg height of a dry summer - you just stopped a mucky runaway dog from getting onto the main road. The dog story is a winner, as it just highlights what a nice person you are. :)

So there you have it - winter excuse and summer excuse - sorted!
