You're so right, scary isn't it? Age wise there is less than a month between myself and Littlie's dad but we couldn't be further apart in maturity. It really was never going to work. I got a text from the CSA today so I'll have the money in my account within 3 working days
Okay Lilt, find me your best chickpea recipe...I'll give them another go. I'm trusting you massively here though! I remember the stuffed marrow saga haha!
I've been lurking in your diary and didn't see anything about horrible councils not giving you your free month so I guess yours didn't come out then? I need to find time to call them. I'm putting it in my diary for Thursday.

I never ever use Christmas or birthday money for paying off debt however I had some money left over from Christmas and totally justified it to myself. What could bring me more happiness right now - having money in the bank earning pennies in interest or paying it off my debt, getting past a milestone and bringing financial freedom closer? No competition!
My grandmother sent £35 for me, £35 for Littlie and £10 for bf. I paid Littlie's into his bank ages ago out of money from my purse so I had £70 sitting there for me. I transferred it onto the loan and we dipped just under the £30k mark. Great day!
Bf's £10 went into his bank to be paid off that pesky CC of his. He's doing great with that CC - he sorted out his £2 collection and paid that off it so it's a lot lower now. I've said we're not doing anything that we have to pay for until it's gone - that seems to be a good bit of motivation! He went to his friends to play fifa rather than going out for food which they'd usually do. He told his friend that he couldn't afford it and friend said he couldn't really either. I wonder how many of our friends have money worries that they never mention/admit/discuss? Bet it's more than we think.

My council tax free months are March and April! Silly (but happy!) Sholly!

Argh, had a follow up email from the council, we do have to pay one more month of council tax because our direct debit started a couple of months after we moved in here so we're making up from that. Man! April is still a freebie though
£1.41 at Tesco today and £3.50 for Littlie's football but my 2 hour nap, absolutely priceless!

Hey you!!!
So sorry I haven't checked in!! Glad you got your council tax sorted out but a bit gutted you have to pay 1 more monthMine are Feb and March! How bizarre that yours are different! Mine has been swallowed by birthdays and new bedding for yours truly this month
- next month I will save! ...:D lol
2 hour nap... sounds amazing. I wish I could have had one. Been pooped all day and going to sleep very shortly!
it is raining hard and we are meant to be going to Canterbury tomorrow!did the money come in for the littlie or is that not yet?
Huggles xx

No need at all to apologise lovely lady - I'm sensing that you have a lot on at the moment. PM me if you need a chat xx
It is odd that it's different - I'm slightly suspicious of the info that they gave me as I thought it was Feb and March too... we shall see! I'll assume that it's coming out in April so it'll be a nice surprise if it doesn'tI love new bedding! What's it like?
My nap was amazing! I've been getting one bug after another at the min and have felt much better since the nap so I'm claiming it as medicinal resthow are you and Jelly? I hope you're over your bugs?
Canterbury sounds very Shakespearean, are you going for a day out? I'll do a sun-jig in the morning for you
Yep, money all received and paid off the debtwhoop!

Ooh my new bedding is blue and white floral, like a darker suck egg blue. And on the reverse it has horizontal stripes in blues and white
it is 200 thread count and so luxurious!!
Every time we get over one bug another rolls in. Vomiting bug this time, awful. Thank goodness I have avoided it but Him has it badly at home, so he is in bed there and Jelly is still poorly here after days!
Canterbury was lovely. Just a day out for shopping. You have to travel far and wide for any decent shopping in Kent, and Canterbury seemed more fun and a way to do 2 things at once!
Hooray for the extra money!
Hope you are ok? xx

Oh that sounds lovely Lilt. Where's it from? Luxury is the only way with bedding
Aw no, not again. I hope you don't get out it too. There's so much going around at the minute - spring will hopefully be here this month and the bugs can take a back seat.
Canterbury does sound fun, glad you had funwe're lucky to have Newcastle about half an hour away and a big out of town shopping area close by for shopping - I don't go often but it's good to know it's there!
Sorry I'm behind again on your diary, I will catch up soon and I see Levi has a new'un...so much to read, so little time!
All fine here thanks, it's the 1st working day of the month tomorrow so I'm excited to update the spreadsheet with all the exciting new figures! So sad! I managed to shave £1,600 from the debt the other day, but that's a post in itself so I'll write about that tomorrow (off to bed to watch a movie)
Hugs to you and Jellytot xx0 -
£1600!!!! WOW, well done you!!
:D:D
Yes, it was from Sainsbugs of all places. Not bad at £30 for king size either. By the time I added in the extra cream pillowcases, and a bottom sheet it was just over £40.
Don't worry about my diary. Shedloads of bugs. OCD.. too much cleaning. Sleeping on sofa. Bad back. 2 cakes.. the end :rotfl:
Jelly is finally recovering. Gastroenteritis. Taken its toll. She hasn't eaten since Thursday other than the odd bite here and there and she is so skinny
many hugs to you!! xx
