apologises for dragging this thread out the pandora's box. been looking for advise on thomson booking cooling off periods, which they don't have? and caught this thread. From what you have described in the initial instore conversations, you agreed a verbal price with the seller which you thought you were paying when it came to signing the written contract. As with any "contract" there are always three key elements that are made offer, consideration and acceptance. In this case you had all three except when the paperwork turned up and it was NOT dually pointed out by the seller the "actual" price had been amended? you were not party to the alteration as you had been told the computer was down please come back later. The whole thing as you mentioned was diabolical because you clearly spotted it at that time and didn't accept it (key point 2) and saying it had been booked was of no fault to yourself? In effect you agreed to one thing and was dually supplied something else! if this had been a sale of goods - you have just walked out the shop with the wrong size! clearly "their" mistake. Unfair/ unjust the law is on your side and anybody else who finds themselves in this situation should stand their ground and not leave until it's sorted
When a jar contains rocks, pebbles and sand is it truly full? What about beer?
