    hi....been busy this morning making x2 chillis a sheps pie base and an upside down cake....oh and preppiung some veg for the freezer

    now need to go and sort out the meal plan for next week and a shopping list to match...ds off school yesterday and today so in the house and cant spend...may be no spend tomorrow as well but i think i can feel cabin fever coming on

    Joining again this month but need to do it a little differently....Firstly an setting my target at £200 for Feb...this is for a family of 6 adults..2 with severe food allergies..6 yr old boy again with food allergies and a very picky 3 yr old girl :mad:

    Please dont think Im going to feed us all for this amount...OH pays main food bill this is for TOP UPs and things bought at other shops..ie HB and B@M only....the top ups etc I pay for :eek:

    Cupboards and freezer are groaning but I panic badly if food stocks are low:(

    Hope its ok to do it this way...will run month to month xxx
    Feeding 6 Adults 1 Teen a 8 year old with hollow legs and a very fussy 5 year old. Also 3 cats and 3 fishies
    To include all Food,Toiletries and Petfood.

    Hi everyone,

    Florenceem - the cake looks lovely. I made this a few weeks ago - didn't rise though - realised I'd used plain not sr flour - senior moment (I am 43, please tell me this isn't the start of the slippery slope :o)

  • first spends yesterday and ive spent half my budget already!!!

    £49 at the butchers, £10 for fruit, veg and salad at the market, and £3 on washing tablets.

    I have the lakel.. slicer and I love it, it can be a bit of a pain in the .... to clean but if you have a dishwasher I believe that it can go in there. It slices wafer thin, which is good as that is how I like my meat sliced, but is very adjustable. I understand that you can use it on bread so it can also slice quite thickly if required.
