Hi everyone!
Great reading about everyone's thriftiness ha ha!!!
Well - my mid week check in looks like this:
I was sitting at £12.60/£20.00 after a planned spend at the weekend - but forgot I had to pay somebody back a tenner so that got done on Monday which toppled me over budget - argggghhh!
£22.60/£20.00
Will aim to limit the damage and not spend anything else between now and finishing work on Friday... That said - because I reduced my budget to £20 for the month - I still have a few notes in my wallet which will be good for next week! Yay!

Hi again...
Ok - I need to confess. I had a big blip over xmas and new year... and had been too ashamed to post it on here... But today I decided no - I need to face up to myself - and not give my bad habits any quarter by keeping them secret...
I've started my own Debt Free Diary (Journey to the Emerald City) so as not to hog any other threads I'm a part of with my own personal ups and downs... but needless to say - I blew my budget BIG TIME.
So - I've sat down this afternoon - and amended my signature and my NSD's, and updated other threads...
My current spend this week = £195.69/£20.00
EverTheOptomist - can you ammend my totals for last week - revoke my GREEN status and change it to £239.53/£40.00
Those are hideous figures... and that's what gambling will do for your budget. I've decided to face up to my out of control spending and shame myself into getting back on track. Keeping that quiet and pretending it's separate from my day to day spends is ludicrous as I'm giving myself a guilt free space to continue...
I'm sorry - I feel I've deceived myself as well as people on here - but I figure it's never too late... Everyone is working hard to meet goals and I want to make them too - but earn credit for hard work and dedication - not for falling into bad habits and then covering them up...
I will be limiting the damage this week with no more spends and have taken steps to get help so that I don't get anymore weeks like the last two...
Thanks for listening... If you want to follow my ups and downs - or comment - please post on my Debt Diary Page... It sounds mad - but I really need these threads to help me get back on track... and regain control of my spending...
There - confession over with. I'm drawing a line under this and moving on... next week will be different... and the one after that...

Hey abundant.
Do not feel ashamed with posting anything on here, no one is here to judge anything you do or don't do. And don't apologise.
I guess it's good that you have recognised that you were hiding it and that it won't help you in the long run.
I will adjust your total if you want me to.
And I will pop over to find your diary.SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -

Morning everyone!
Abundant - As ETO mentioned, do not feel ashamed in admitting what has happened. We are definitely not here to judge, we are here to support each other. The good thing is you acknowledge what has happened and you are taking the right steps to get back to your normal self
Wed - Had to work away so train fare was bought. Had to go into Mr T's after work to buy toothpaste. £7.17 spent (£2.83 in savings tin)
Even better, my expenses came in which allowed me to put £20.00 into e savings and £20 into my savings for paying any CC bills that I have.
Have a good day everyone xxxWSC 13 -14 2 10 -
Thanks for all your support - it means a lot...
