  • Awwww ETO glad you had a lovely day :D

So ... it's all gone a bit to pot :o

This is where I go wrong with my groceries - but not sure how to sort .... had a few essential bits that Ineeded but I also had a few store cupboard items that I'm running low on so grabbed a couple (they will last ages) and there were a few bits that I use a lot of that were on good offers .... so might as well grab them while the offers are on .... or not?

    *sigh*

The only thing that did go right was that my fuel was less than the weekly budget (but only just )

Groceries £47.83 / £40 and still got the loo rolls (£6) to pay for tomorrow:eek:
    Hair £0/£40
    Misc £0/£10
    Unplanned spend £11.45 *
    Total £59.28 / £90

I spied a Laminator (that I've been really wanting :o) and it was only £9.50 so I couldn't resist :o (got some pouches too)

Not sure where to put this as it wasn't a planned spend but not really my Misc fund (which is more silly things like mags etc)

*sigh* is it really only Monday :rotfl:

    Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
    2016 Sell: £125/£250
    £1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000
    Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
Debt free & determined to stay that way!

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend - kiddies back to school tomorrow YAY!!

Well its only monday and i've totally screwed up

My plan was £50 for the week which is practical if i dont include my groceries lol. Gonna have to change my weekly spend to £100 for everything. That might actually work.

Can you tell i'm new to this??!! :rotfl:

    So far this week:
Sat: £14 at co-op buying nibbles and xmas reduced items for a party we were having.
Sun: £53.30 shopping at Aldi. Made £10 by selling 2 of my husbands xbox games to the teenager next door lol.
Mon: £14.98 (bought the trespass coats on the grabbit board as i need a new one desperately andf the other i bought for a friend and she will be giving me her £7.49 tomorrow)
Total so far including money made/owed: £64.79 I am officially rubbish at this :o
    Looking for a fresh start
  • Can I join please? I will only be counting miscellaneous, frivolous spending as everything else has its own budget. It's for things like meals out, treats and gifts for people. I've worked it out and I have £35 left over each week so can I pledge that for this week please?

Spent £40 last week so hopefully this thread will keep me on track!

  • Well I managed a NSD yesterday. I had a sort out and found some wicker basket things hidden away so made a material insert from an old pillowcase and boom! I have some new storage baskets to put my makeup in. Not leaving the house helped.

NSD as well today as I was late for work and had to run from the bus so no time to stop in the newsagents

Evening everyone. Have revised how I do my spending and have decided to revert back to my old formula of withdrawing £10.00 from my account to make it last the day and once it's gone it's gone.

Sun - NSD so will put that into my savings tin to help that build up.

Mon - Went to Mr T's for some supplies (butternut squash, bread, bananas, baked beans, apples and milk) £9.86 spent (19p in savings as found a 5p on my way home :j)

Have a good evening everyone xxx

Does your hubby know you've been selling his games???? :rotfl::rotfl:

Also would you like me to adjust your budget on the front page to £100?

  • Week so far:

Monday: NSD all round! Wa hoo! :j Dh did do the tescos shop but that was already accounted for in the bigger all powerful budget :)

I have already made my lunch for tomorrow so am all set for another NSD! Honestly I can believe how setting yourself a small challenge can make you so determined! If only I was always like this!
Full time working mum to 2 boys
DH Stay at home dad :)
  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY ETO!! :bdaycake:

So glad you had a lovely day. How is bump coming along? (I hope I've remembered that correctly?!)

I had a NSD yesterday, wehay!

Today have spent £4.75 on a Kindle book (oops)!

Got DD's footy subs tomorrow at £3.

Shouldn't need much more though. Have made a slow cooker full of HM veg soup which will save me £££'s - got 5 days worth for a couple of quid instead of £1 something a tin! I also made a casserole last night ready for tonight's meal. And lastly I made some HM breakfast bars which are full of goodness instead of sugar!

    Hope everyone else is well.xx
