    Doh! Never thought of that.........

Must be the excitement of waiting to try and get something is sending me a bit loco........

Did anyone see that pink camel go past my window???????

It was chasing a blue tiger with green spots.............

you made a statement and i answered it, some people here are newbies and unaware of how things work, i assumed from what you said you were one of them!!!!!!!!!!
  • Hi has anyone been to france or spain on the sun holidays? if so where did you go and was it nice? also how much were you in total for the holiday? i dont know how much extras etc would be on top of the money the sun take.
    Thanks in advance
    sharon
We have been all over France and we just see what is available. We have NEVER been disappointed. The caravans, service and parks are great. We've been doing it for 9 years and we just see what is available on the dates we can make.

We drive to Europe and make the whole holiday a family adventure.

Just a tip.I enter european sites with dates in early march as dummy bookings,as most european sites do not open until April/may

Why do you need to put in dummy dates? Does it only check availability for some of the dates you put in?

    Thanks

We went to La bien Assise (No. 203) in july last year, it was lovely.

As someone has said above it was the same as a uk break and the service charge was exactly as quoted, we got a confirmation letter really quickly after booking and had to pay the balance (the service charge) within 10 days. It also said they take a refundable deposit of £50 but we were never asked for it.

We went by tunnel, it was only 15 mins from their to la bien which is why i chose it as it was our first time driving abroad.

I booked the tunnel direct and got it for £29 each way - prices vary ALOT so check that out when planning your break.

From La Bien we went EVERYWHERE we went to calais, dunkirk, le tourque and even bruges!! It was definatly work it and a lovely park too....we are looking at park no. 208 this year :-)

    good luck everyone x x

Glad you had a good time.:D This is on our shortlist. We will pay for the tunnell using Tesco deals. We intend to travel around a fair bit using this campsite as a base, and visit ghent and bruges in belgium as well as venturing back to paris a couple of the days.
Hoping we can get seven nights. :p

basically you HAVE to put in 3 parks and 3 dates

so if you put in parks that will be popular eg Butlins ( and not very likely to get ) or European sites not yet opened
or school holidays ( always popular and first to go )

then hopefully it will throw up availability for the park and date you DO want

i just tried opening this and it wont let me download????? any ideas x

Does it take you to a document called code generator new (or something like that) with a 'download' button in the middle? If it does, then sorry I don't know what the problem might be. If it doesn't, then there might be a problem with the link itself.

I couldn't get the link to work when it was first posted in the thread, but when I went to the place it was copied from it worked. Really odd.

i use dummy dates if i have a specific park i wish to book on certain dates. The site works by asking you to enter several parks/ dates at the same time and then offers you one of the available parks/dates which maybe not be the one you want, but by entering parks/dates you know are not available you shorten the searching process
