I wasn't being sarcastic, or having a go at you, sorry if you thought I was. I was just having a bit of fun.

A bit of fun?? don't you know that this is serious business and there will be no humour allowed here! Go and self-flagellate immediately and do not come back until you have learned your lesson!

P.s. I've lost my pet purple and white two headed llama so if you see that go by too give me a shout! :rotfl::rotfl:

oooh lovely :) well if there is anything I can do please let me know xx

I found this thread so helpful and it has given me the confidence to try a holiday in France this year - many thanks to all xx
Definitely give France a go. We went to La Croix for the first time last year and it was brilliant.

Does it take you to a document called code generator new (or something like that) with a 'download' button in the middle? If it does, then sorry I don't know what the problem might be. If it doesn't, then there might be a problem with the link itself.

I couldn't get the link to work when it was first posted in the thread, but when I went to the place it was copied from it worked. Really odd.

I have been able to open it ok and filled it in as per the instructions and it seems to be working as it opens the sun website when I press button 1.

    One question though..........

Where it asks what line to start at how many are there, does anyone know? I am happy to help check when it opens but if someone can give me an idea what line to start from, so we can all do different ones?

Because of the information you and lillady have given in the past, I plucked up the courage to book La Croix last year. It was fantastic!!! It was our first time using the tunnel too, and that was also a good experience.
We were going to stay in England this time, but I'm now thinking that if we drive all the way down to the south coast we might as well go to France. We might just choose a site more north this time, so we have a shorter drive.
    :T glad you enjoyed

Don't forget you could get a ferry to one of the other ports, and then choose a site within a short drive from there :)

ie last yr we went Plymouth - Roscoff and then stayed @ Les Mouettes which was only 20 mins drive from the port

If you book when the site opens you should get your first choice.

    We always do.

Sorry to diagree, but there is no such thing as a first choice. You are offered one of the holidays from all three choices you enter.

Anyone booking butlins etc check THEIR site first, we booked with a sun holiday last year and ended up not using as it was so much cheaper booking it direct we sacrificed the £38 we had paid and booked direct...i suppose its the same with all of the sites, just dont assume that the sun holiday is always the best deal - it obviously depends on your dates etc.
yes ALWAYS check to see how much it would be to do direct !

but if you want school holidays or a European site you will always save money by booking with the SUN

not if you want school holidays !

We do and we get - maybe as our boys school breaks up a bit earlier.
  • I vaguely remember a box to tick if one of your party is disabled. have I just made that up or does anyone else remember if there is that type of tick box? thanks x
  • Does anyone have the link to take you straight to online booking? Or is it this that we are waiting for? As in waiting for a different site to come online at some point today? (Sorry if someone has already asked the same question, but just want to get first choice of park that's all!) :-)
