What experiences have people had in Europe? What is the standard of accommodation like? Is it clean?
I have my priority code (bought from E.bay!) and I'm feeling confused about where to choose. I'm thinking of somewhere I France!
Please help!!! This is the first year I have done this & I want to make it a positive experience!

I've found the standard over there has been better than what I've had over here. Always clean, and often upgraded FOC.

to book 7 nights in the uk you need to book 2 holidays with consecutive dates..
    ARt

So I'd need to priority codes then? Is that correct?

we did le chene gris near paris in october. I put my review on trip adviser. I found the caravan really nice, with a huge under cover decking area. The kids room was really handy as it had 3 beds in it rather than the usual 2 you get over here.

I've been to Duinrell in Holland in September for the last 3 years - it's FANTASTIC!

Went to I Pini near Rome - I wasn't overly impressed with the site itself but it was great for seeing Rome on a tight budget! (I think we also got stuck with a site's own caravan rather than a Keycamp/Eurocamp which looked a bit nicer).

Also went to Norcenni Girasole in Tuscany which was absolutely beautiful!

No problems with cleanliness anywhere - our caravan near Rome had a few ants wondering around - but it was quite warm when we went so perhaps that couldn't have been helped.
  • We've always had great luck with weather holidaying in whitsun, ofcouse last year jubilee meant shutdown dates were altered, the 'proper' dates weren't too bad but the week we went away it just poured down. I'd love to make a week of it and try two different sites but OH is too grumpypumpy to go away longer than mon-fri.
I'm not a complete idiot....some parts are missing

Why would they do a barcode though ? What is it for ? Is it for a smart phone app. Or that you have to post it, because you can book online so doesn't make sense ? Oh and how do you guess the code word, where can I get a copy of the spreadsheet so I can help you all ?

    https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B51MjoZlv1b8NTUzODlhN2ItYjZkZi00MmYxLTkxYzEtNTk5ZjFiMmQzZDEy/edit?hl=en_US

Change the code words to this year's. Put the first part of the your priority reference into REF1 and the second part into REF2 and enter your email address at the bottom.

Decide which letter you want to start from, look in the list of words in the 'words' tab at the bottom of the spreadsheet (there are more than 5 thousand words so we don't all want to be starting with number 1 or it will take hours) and find which line the words beginning with that letter start. Go back to the 'data' tab and put the number of the line you want to start at in the Start at line field.

When the booking site opens, press button 1 on the spreadsheet.

EDIT: Button 1 uses an excel macro. You might need to enable macros first (then disable them again afterwards if you wish). It won't guess the word until the site opens, but you can check that it will work by pressing button 1 - it should open up the booking site in internet explorer but it can't go any further until the site opens up.

Thank you so much for replying! This is my first time on the forums here so I was panicking a bit! What does FOC mean?

I would like to go to duinrell - holland, but as we went to paris last year we can t really go abroad again. Plus, in the past, when I tried booking for 6 people at the european parks online, i couldn't get a single availability. I was so frustrated, I kept getting ones come up for the park i wanted if i put in 4 or 5 people, but never 6. I sat online for about an hour going through every single european park with different dates and couldnt get one to come up for 6/8:mad: in the end I posted an application and around may, got a letter saying id been given the paris one in the october half term.

Hope it goes live before 8pm....going to a fancy dress party tonight, never go out and the one time I do is the day the day the site is likely to go live! Pfffft! I'm not sure I trust myself to book anything when I get back.....With the amount of vodka I plan to consume I could end up booking anywhere :rotfl:
