i booked a european holiday to brittany Château des Ormes for the 15/7/2013 and read the t&c before booking all cheap euro travel ended on the 18/7/2013 till september ( peak season ) but for £120 plus service charge of £7 per night what a bargain same holiday with keycamp, canvas and eurocamp cost over £800 so i book a 3 night stay as well starting on the 12/7/13 for £60 euro tunnel return club card vouchers = 35 min drive instead of a dodgy ferry = BARGAIN

much longer drive the other side though !

don't know what ferries you have been on lol but the Brittany ferries to France are fab and lovely :)
  • Whenever I've been to France I've done the overnight ferry from Plymouth to Roscoff. Nothing dodgy about the ferry, we've always had a great time :)
  • Love overnight ferries lol. Will be going Harwich to Hook of holland for the second time this may.
Loved it last time. The cabin was great, and we all had a really good night's sleep.

ditto, only thing I hated was the wake up call in the morning ha !
  • We've booked the Portsmouth to st Malo overnight ferry. Never slept on a ferry before and I'm excited but a bit nervous inacse my 5 year old can't sleep.

We've booked an outside, ensuite cabin, for those of you that have done this before are the beds okay? Is there a lot of engine noise?

    Our ferry is the Bretagne.

Got my invoice for Chateau des Ormes today after booking online as soon as it opened. Have been really lucky and got 3 bed 2 bath + deck for the week:T
  • Anyone booked pontins southport? I got a code because i didnt get a holiday with the vouchers. Booked pontins and it said there was no extra charges. Got the confirmation and they charged me for half board, entertainment and service charge. Total of£256 pounds. I phoned them and they said i must have ticked the half board box and hard luck. No reply from sun yet. Pontins said this had happened to lots of people. Definitely didn't see a half board box.

    Hi

Just wondered if anyone got 4 nights or 3 at any of the Haven sites over any of the three school holiday half terms. I tried 10 minutes after the site opened Saturday but could get any of these dates for Haven only term time so interested if they had literally all gone that quickly and I was too slow or whether there actually were any at Haven or these popular dates.

I went on at 5.10 on the saturday when itopened and got hafen y mor 4night second week in easter. There were others too at that time. Bet there weren't many though.

We have done this crossing numerous times and never had any problems. We only hear the engine if located on one of the lower decks but have never had any problems sleeping.
Usually board early to eat in the restaurant, then head down to the bar for the magic show!
