Going back over my original point I was just trying to discover if anybody had been able to book a "Haven" break during the half term holidays. Judging by the follow up comments it pretty much sums up nobody so far has been able to yet. To clarify I didnt intend to mean October half term just Easter and May and by reading everyones comment prior to asking I can see that many people have got half term breaks at other places (some including Butlins during Half Term) but NONE were successful for Haven.

Was just interested to see so that next year we're not wasting time entering various Haven sites for Half Term dates. Is worth trying for a Haven in October Half Term tho as a second short break of the year.

With the exception of Butlins which I know you can get, does anyone have any recommendations for really nice parks which they have done or got booked up for during Easter or May Half Terms?

I tried as soon as the site opened for May Day weekend, or Whitsun weekend at any Haven in Wales, Somerset or Weymouth but nothing. I don't think they were available this time round. Managed to get Haven Kiln Park for Friday to Monday of October Half term, not to waste my priority.

Yes we went to Ruda North Devon last year the first week of the easter holidays (however no pets) so we had to leave our dog behind.

I managed to book a haven site for during Easter holidays... Tried for primrose valley first but no joy so went for Norfolk and got a choice of a couple of different Haven ones.. Went for Seashore at Great Yarmouth.. Trip advisor fairly good so fingers crossed! Booked about forty min after code was cracked.

I managed to book a Butlins Skegness break on Sept 13th last night. Tried to book as soon as site was opened the other week and it was only coming up in caravans. They are now showing standard apartments if that helps anyone. June 14th was also available when i checked.

Has anybody that booked via the postal system noticed there cheques going out of the bank or had anything through the post yet?

I've chosen May half term and Oct half term on two seperate forms. Reading posts on this site I don't hold out much hope at all. I even sent it last monday when the last token was printed and sent it special delivery so as it would be there quick, I've never done it before so had no code to book online.:(
