he has before. He uses "you want to throw everytihng away for something stupid" or uses the kids to make me stay. He has 2 choices, either I stay here and he goes somewhere else and he can see the kids whenever he wants and they stay settled, or I move 30+ miles away to be nearer to my dad who would help me and it will be harder for him to see the boys then.
Il try to contact the council monday to see where I stand, he works nights mon-tues then off weds and thurs and working 6am fri through to sunday so I wont get much time to phone
If you do end up moving don't let 30 miles make you feel guilty. It's not a long way really. Loads of dads travel 30 miles to see their children. My sister has 2 exes and one lives around 30 miles away but he has his kids for a weekend every 2 weeks and he comes to see them one night in the week too, to play board games etc. (he has a good relationship with my sister, so she doesn't mind him coming to her house to spend time with the kids). The other ex lives much further away but he still has his child for a weekend every fortnight. It can be done if the man wants to see his children. If he has a car the 30 miles won't cost too much.52% tight0 -

Nothing much to add as there's some good advice on here . You do deserve to be treated better than this . I expect he'd say anything to just go on as before with you paying for a lot of things for the family . Please let us know how you get on and hope things are better for you soon .0

If you speak to a solicitor, you may be eligible for legal aid, which basically funds your legal bills if necessary. I think it depends on your income, but if low enough, I think it may get paid for you- not sure, but at least may be worth calling up a legally aided solicitor's firm to find out. You're young and have so much of your life ahead of you. You live once, and deserve for you and your children to be happy.0
