Just like to add i also think Yodel are completely useless and liars.

Maybe calling people liars is a bit cliche and i could perhaps be on my high horse but really Yodel have proved utterly useless.

I order something from amazon, fairly large item, luckily weeks before christmas but it took 14 days to finally arrive at my house, bearing in mind this is after it reached their sorting office.

Unfortunately i missed delivery the first day and a note was left. I followed instructions and re-schedueled delivery. This was apparently attempted 2 days later according to their web site where it said delivery attempted card left. No, it wasn't attempted, i was downstairs all day, no knock, no van, which i would be able to see from the window and no card.

I rescheduled a further 3 redeliveries, none of them turned up on the day i scheduled and between all of these the status changed on their web site to customer requested pickup. Rubbish, i never requested pickup i couldn't even get in touch with them to tell them this which i found out when attempting to find a working number to call them.

All further communication done through their web site, rescheduling to find they didnt turn up on those days. One of the times they turned up a day late on saturday, what good is that when i didnt request it and i was out.

Stupid, pointless inefficient operation, god knows how they are still trading and if they loose Amazon and Tesco i won't be sorry to see them go.

My order did finally turn up but they are still terrible and should be avoided at all costs. I think they ruin the otherwise excellent experience Amazon brings to internet shopping.
  • I ordered a tv from argos and after waiting in all day I received one smashed tv delivered by.........you guessed it yodel!!

If we pay for a service / item that is then not delivered / fulfilled, surely that is fraud? It wouldn't be an easy thing to argue legally but worth a shot in my opinion. After wasting a second day waiting for Yodel I'm about ready to try anything.

    Awful.

They claimed a delivery was attempted, but my wife was there all day.

No card was left, though that's what they claimed.

So the item was either lost or stolen (£150 value), and they don't want to investigate. I've given them all the info they need via DM on twitter but they want me to write an email. They've employed incompetent/thieving staff but don't care.

Thankfully, Amazon sent replacements (at their cost) and agreed to send it to a different address to avoid the same driver being involved.

  • I ordered an item from Sports Direct on the 18th of Dec - paid for next day delivery as, being a PE teacher, I had some end of term gifts bought cheap to hand out for hard work from the children in our extended schools clubs.

Low and behold Yodel were the named courier. Now having never had a problem in my area of London with them or other couriers as such, I made the order in good faith

When there was still no sign by the 20th, I logged in to "my account" section, where to my horror it stated on the tracking link to the Yodel site that the item had been delivered!!

This of course was not the case, and I spent the next day looking for a contact number for Yodel. Nothing. The next day, the tracking page said it had been returned by the courier to the depot!!

I then emailed Sports Direct 3 seperate times to look into this - it took a visit into my local store yday and to politely but firmly demand some help that enabled me to use their in house telephone system to speak to someone in their cust service dept to chase this up.

And it's not over - the cust service operative said Yodel had stated they HAD delivered the parcel on the 31st!! Horrible!!

I have checked with my neighours, looked over my fence, done everything I should not need to! And on top, it seems whilst Sports Direct have niggled me, Yodel seem to take no responsibility over this.

I have just seen their Twitter page, and have contacted them that way too. After all, I had to go out and buy more gifts for the children at my school, and I am out of pocket for the first batch still.

The scary thing as I write this is that my younger sister has just told me she paid for next day delivery from Hermes on Boxing Day for some River Island sale goods, and they have not delivered as yet either.

    GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
  • Yodel have touted for drivers in my area before. They offer freelance drivers the grand total of 42 pence, per parcel, to deliver it. Its obvious that the driver will wait till he/she gets a number of parcels before attempting to deliver them all. Its cheaper for them that way, add to this the expence of business insurance for the vehicle. Chances are they are not insured to deliver your parcels anyway.

Glad Amazon sorted you out - it is beyond frustrating. Glad Amazon sorted it. I am so frustrated over my Sports Direct (see post a short while ago) situation with a lack of Yodel Delivery.

Why should the customer be forced to chase up situations over and over? An initial message/tweet/call should be all that is needed.

    Terrible!

Its actually 65p - £1 friend used to work there, I did agency a few years back and people used to refuse to answer the doors even when in then claim you never been.

    People could always collect
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

I haven't seen any good comments about Yodel yet, so I would like to redress the balance. I have had several deliveries through Yodel and have found the delivery times were fast and the courier herself was very polite and friendly. And, no, I don't work for Yodel!

Forgive me if we dont believe you! First post and all!
