    I haven't had a parcel left in a bin...yet!

I had a delivery from Next thrown over the side gate and left in the torrential rain outside.

Also had a Wii Fit board left on the doorstep pretty much. It was in plain sight from the road for almost 8 hours, how it never disappeared I'll never know!

If they left it in a bin, I'd be inclined to complain and send item back for a refund.

My lovely postman always leaves my parcels in my paper bin - its brilliant, I dont have to get in the car and pick it up from sorting office or go around to neighbours houses - dont see what the problem is

Argh! It only happened twice, but I've found deliveries in my recycling bin with no card posted through the door.

It was sheer luck that, a few days after the delivery should have been made I happened to take out some recycling before putting the bin out... only to find a parcel inside the bin!!! It's insane! If the delivery was made on bin-day, I would have just put the bins out without checking inside them.

I ordered a pair off shoes from clarks .I put on the delivery instruction leave in shed ,so they left them in the coal bunker.

    :rotfl:

Time to change for the better! :):):)
  • Had parcels in the bin before & find it disgusting but happy if I GET them , Yodel left a parcel downstairs in the rain , no card , in full view of everyone & yes of course it DISAPPEARED as a ''kind'' neighbour told me it had been there for 2 days over Christmas till it ''went'' thanks 1/ Yodel & 2/ Kind neighbour ( who could have simply brought it up for us , it wasn't heavy , but they seemed to take more pleasure in letting us know it had ''gone'' than in being KIND!!! )

I wanna live where you live, do they trim the hedges and wash cars as well!? ;)

Agreed my bin men won't put one step on my drive, and dump my bin on the road, lazy sods!
No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Yes if it's agreed it's okay, and yes a paper bin is much more hygienic. When a parcel is dumped in the normal household bin filled with two week old cat poo, then I think people have a reason to complain, not to mention if they get no card and the bin gets emptied!

It's rude for you to tell those that complain to get a life, you shouldn't bother posting if you have nothing helpful to say!

We have two sets of binmen.

The first lot are the ones the council send round who are useless, won't empty the bin if its not a certain distance from the kerb, the lid isn't shut, the bin is too heavy or appears to contain "illegal" waste, which can mean lettuce leaves or dead flowers. They also do not come round if your collection day falls on a bank holiday, so you end up going 4 weeks without the bin being emptied.

Therefore many people in our street pay for a private company to empty our bins every other week. It's not cheap, but we don't have piles of stinking rubbish laying around.
