Are you deliberatly missing the point???
I PAID FOR MY TICKETS!!!
THEY WERE NOT FREE!!!
WHY SHOULD I THEN HAVE TO PAY A DEPOSIT TO ENSURE I TURN UP???
If I don't turn up, I have lost out because I HAVE PAID FOR MY TICKETS!!!
& IT'S NOT A FREE PICTURE, I'VE PAID FOR ONE EACH!!!0 -
I have also won one of these makeovers and I need to contact them as I've lost my vouchure, so I don't know where to go or what date!! If anyone has the phone number please can you let me know as I will loose my money.
Many thanks.0 -
The phone number for Cover look studios is 02076310483 or 02075804248.
Website - that doesnt work is: https://www.covergirlstudio.co.uk.
I looked this company up under the Companies House website to see if they were real or in liquidation and so far they arent. The companies been around since 2005 and so far this forum is the only think you can find about them.
Their CRN is 05554774 if your interested and it also states their registered office. Might be of some help for all those trying to get their money back!
I since have looked up the company I used to work for "The Studio" who has now gone into Administration - meaning they couldnt pay the bills and their supplies got them closed down!!
I always check up companies I dont know on the Companies House website to ensure they are real and not in liquidation when I use them.
Good luck to anyone who uses this company. cheers0 -
Hey everyone,
After reading all these comments about coverlook studios, i guess many of you are cautious but are definately missing out. I read this forum after paying the deposit after winning the competition with the firm and well i got scared! But i went today for my appointment and guess what...i can say with great certainty you all are wrong. They are very professional, yes it is quite small but it is well presented and everyone was very friendly and helpful.
The map they provided was quite simple but difficult to find. I did call up and the receptionist was helpful.
My friend and I enjoyed this experience.
As most of you warned the photos are pricey and i did end up ordering a package which i can pay in installments. I personally thought it was worth it!0 -
I got the call last week. I was so happy - it sounded great and although im usually really negative i was with a mate who i knew would love it too so i paid £60 for two over the phone there and then (i think the fact id just split from my boyfriend helped me go for it as it seemed like such good timing) anyway, not long after (2 days) i recieved a little pack with my receipt attached. I have booked up for April 12th. Were are both going by train from Peterborough and they said they put us on the guest list for 4 different clubs in london so we can make a whole day and night of it!!
Will let you all know how i get on. I know they will push the expensive pics on me but i get one free and the deposit will pay for my drinks so Im really looking forward to it!0 -

Okay, i had the phone call to say i'd won on Tuesday, i listened and stupidly agreed to give them £30 deposit knowing full well that i couldnt have a overdaft on my account and there wasnt enough in there to pay them the £30 but my bank authorised it and gave me a unplanned overdraft, which to my knowledge i couldnt have as i have a under 19's account. So due to this i have incurred over £50 worth of bank charges, nothing the bank can do.
Anyway i ring up coverlook today and try to get a refund, my appointment with them is on the 11th of May, apparently you cant cancel after 24hours. i try to threaten them with alot of things such as watchdog and trading standards. No such luck. Even my mum tried.
Anyway after i get off the phone to them i ring consumer direct who tell me i dont have a leg to stand on legally they are doing nothing wrong, although i checked on a government site and their 24hour cancellation period is actually against the law, they have to give a 7 day cooling off period. I dont want to go to this after reading alot about them on the net, and wasnt expecting the money to come out of my account.
Me and my mum are absolutley fuming with everything, from the huge bank charges to the way they are dealing with me. I want a refund, but they wont give it, their company policy is illegal to my understanding, yet consumer direct told me i dont have anything i can do, i can try writing a letter or complaint to the company but legally they dont have to do anything.
I dont want to go to the appointment, but thats the only way it looks like im going to get a refund.
Can anyone help, im at a loose end. Im so upset about this...0
