£300 paid to B'card and £130 to Payplan.
I have finally taken the plunge to now come off my DMP with Payplan. I have sent an email to ask what the process will be for me to now self manage the DMP.
I started with Payplan back in Dec 2005 and I have to say it has been a valuable service. There was just no way I could have even started it on my own. (I was a total wreck.)
I called b'card to ask them to take me off the payment plan and this will happen overnight. Advisor has said that I will need to make a min payment of £52 for the next 3 months and then everything will revert back to normal and I will receive a new card. I will be making my overpayments of between £300 - £600 a month so this won't be a problem. B'card will then report to the cra that I am making normal payments and the arrangement to pay marker will be removed on my credit file.
The only downside is that they will now charge me the normal apr. (I'm not too worried about that.)
The poor advisor forgot to put me on hold whilst asking his collegue for help. I did hear her say "yes, that is her other account which has already been written off.....she could do a full and final settlement...) That was just music to my ears:D:D:D:D
I know b'card don't do f&f on accounts still with them but my other card was with Egg, I had a default with that one which has now dropped off my credit file. Once I clear the b'card visa I will call and ask about a f&f on the Egg card. It would be amazing if I could as this would bring my debt free date closer :j:j

Another £300 paid to B'card visa this morning. Now that the interest charges are being increased I would like to reduce the balance as quickly as possible.
With this payment the balance will now be £1690.11 and the Payplan amount of £67.83 should be paid to b'card around the 12th/13th.
Had an email back from Payplan asking if I am really sure about cancelling my plan with them and would I be able to cope with managing it myself. I have checked with b'card who owe both of my debts and they have said I can continue to pay the same amount a month on my egg card and in 6 months they will review the payment. It should be almost cleared by then so that shouldn't be a problem.Smile loan - £2821.98 / £0:)

I am normally a chocoholic and would have to buy chocolate every day. So since the 1st April I have saved a £1 each day instead of buying chocolate.
£6 paid to B'card again :j and not 6lbs on my hips.
