Hi everyone, not done anything for xmas, been too busy with other things going on. YD has found a place in a hostel which is close to me so I am glad about that, just hope she doesnt mess it up as they have a lot of rules to stick to like being home by 11pm on the dot 5 nights a week. She has also got an interview for college next week so hopefully things can start to improve and I can stop worrying about her so much.

I have been making a few key rings for my stall, need to make some phone pouches and get on with the other bits I need to make for Xmas, just havent had the get up and go to do them though with all the hassle going on.

Rufus that is brill news about YD, and close by at least you can keep an eye on her,

Sounds like the stalls going well, like the sound of the phone holders, xx

Thanks for the update mum2one, postage is so expensive

Im a bit disgusted with fleabay, cant believe they want a percentage of the postage costs too...they let you list things for free if they under 99p and then they take some of your postage as well.Good news for shops though , it will make them more competitive with the postage going up and up and up

I been cutting out shields for coat of arms for the scout troop. they decorate them themselves. How they thing their family coat of arms will look

I did goto a boot sale but there was only 5 cars there. And for 5 people who didnt know each other they were all selling the same things which was odd.
I ended up in JTF buying quality street tin 2.9kg for £12.99 and some lovely shower gels 7 in a pack for £1.40, great for my pamper hampers

We have had a productive day...
Collected wack of plant pots (from 1 lady from freegle, and had tour of the country), collected a box of jam jars from another freegle lady, got spolit as there is a good mix of jars, jam jars, posh kilner type jars and the dow edberts posh coffee jars!

now have enough jars for making all jam for xmas, just need to get sugar.

    --
Thou when we went to get the pots the lady said to Miss Hoodie - put u a good selection ready for your greenhouse (bday surprise spolit!!)

Been and got compost, bigger pots ready for fruit plants - there be replanted later in week.

    --
been to Morrisons - got to say their uniforms are really generous sizing, we got Miss Hoodie age 12/13 in skirt and trs yet, Asda, Tesco nor Matalan age 15 will fit her, they were only £3 each - so were going to get some more.

Also got fruit ready for xmas cake - now soaking in bottle brandy and bottle sherry (thats 8 cakes as we give some as prezzies).

Thou bad news - had punture in car tyre - at least not new tyre!! xx

Ha ha about the fruit. You are well up on everything Mum2one. I need to get a move on with my bits, but OH is on nights now all week and weekend so no machine sewing. Next week think I will get a couple of presents out of the way.

hope u had a good holiday Mrs moneypenny.

I hit the fruit now as get the value bags as by mid Oct there like gold dust.

Car tyre sorted it was the seal had gone, - taken off, resealed, played around with, balanced - all for the lovely sum of £14.... (handy when friends brother runs his own tyre garage!!).

Had gd day out with Miss Hoodie, and grandad hoodie - got a few nick nacks, bargains in Card Factory - our local one was clearing a lot of 18, 21, 30, 40, 50, 60 - beer glasses reduced to 99p from £3.99. There was a good array of reductions, and some nice xmas cards.

Opticians 2mor for Miss hoodie!! xx

    Everyone is sounding very productive!

Mr Delta and I hate dried fruit but will tell mother in law the tip about getting the value packs now - thanks.

I've bought a friend's little boy's Christmas present yesterday off a local selling page. Toy till for £ 5 ( rrp £ 18) and it's in perfect condition. Plus a book from my Book People stash from earlier in the year and he's done.

Mr Delta got Small an octonauts play set from argos for half price as well. So she's nearly done too as we got her an octopod from same local selling page. we just need bits for stocking and advent calendar (got fabric one with pockets from when I was little - it's an antique!) and she's all done too.

Happy bank holiday weekend everyone! Woohoo for a long weekend!
