Hello again,
popping into this thread again!
Its now August and I am now definately on the hunt for gifts (even more so than the first part of the year)
I got my neice 2 gifts already a digital camera thing in the Boots clearance in June £3 I have since found my old Xmas catalogue and discovered it was in there for £20! so did well there. I also got her a set of PJS from Morrisons in the clothing sale was £9 got them for £4.40 they are me to you which she loves so almost £30 worth of gifts for her for £7.50 I think that's great. I allocate £20 or there abouts so I still got £12.50 to spend on her.
Also got my cousin a set of Simpsons PJS again from Morrisons, was £8 got them for £4, very pleased with that. Its his Bday Xmas eve and I always make sure he has 2 gifts, even if its just something small for his bday he never goes without.
Got loads of toiletries from Boots - Burts Bees, Philosophy stuff all 75% off in the earlier part of the year, these haven't been allocated to a person yet but they will be soon enough.
So yes I am now actively seeking Xmas gifts....bring on Xmas 2013!:money::rotfl::T0 -
mum and step mums birthday cards posted off, step mums cross stitch (the garden bench one framed last night. Kit was one i'd won and the frame cost me 30p at the car boot so it really only cost me time im really pleased with how its turned out - hope she likes it.
got DD3s fiancee birthday this month then no more (apart from card only birthdays) till Nov.
got 2 more stitchy presents i need to make a start on another cushion front to do and make into a cushion then a christmas stocking for my best frined thats all appliqued work. will take ages am hoping to give her that for birthday in november so she can use/display it at christmas if she likes it.
picked up a lovely bagrain for my niece at the carboot last week 50p for a brand new unused universal studios clapper board style photo frame. shes really into performing and drama so hoping she can put one of her shw photos in in. she'll be 16 so hoping to do her a bit of a 'future dreams' hamper with some maybe show soundtrack cds/show dvds maybe a journal, good luck charm, things like that in.SPC~12 ot 124

Hi Sarah, nice bargains for your niece xx
Moneypenny, nice bargains for you too, have only been to one bootfair this year, only got to one last year too. Wish they were a bit nearer or I had an OH who would take me lol.
The first bag I made out of the paperback book didnt come out as well as I hoped so gave it to ED early, her bf liked it and wanted one for his daughter so made that slightly differently and it came out much better. Hopeing I can make a few more before Xmas and put them on the stall, just need to find some popular books to use. Have asked on my Facebook site to see if anyone has any locally. Anyone have any suggestions as to which books to use? I have another twilight book I can do but not really up on whats popular with the teens as thats who they would be aimed at I would think.0 -
Having started christmas preparations rather early this year (like you folks) I'm going to attempt to make some very simple velvet-lined wooden jewellery boxes for the few dear women in my family. Plenty of time to make mistakes.0
