Thanks for that CariadsDream, was just thinking this afternoon what I could get for Nieces step sons and these will do fine, ordered 4 of them so they can have two each, came to just over £5 and had a £5 voucher so paid 56p xx

Thanks Susan - such a simple idea it makes me wonder why I didn't think of it (probably because my imagination isn't up to much lol).

Morning all, just had an email from FaveCrafts, had some links in for making thrifty bits and pieces, thought I would copy some of the links over as might be something someone could make for a gift for someone else.

Thanks Rufusdog - have downloaded the 'gift in a jar' ideas book as this is something I'm going to have a go at this year.

We've agreed in our family that for Christmas this year we'll buy the children as normal but adult gifts will be strictly limited to a £5 spend per person or joint pressies for £10 per couple. The idea is that we'll still get all the fun of trying to find 'good' pressies and have opening them on the big day but nobody will be spending money they can't afford. If it fails miserably then we'll have to think again for next year.

Hi everyone - sorry not posted in so long, have been reading all ideas with interest though and kept my present spreadsheet up to date :)! Just wanted to mention that I nipped into Debenhams last night and they had really posh christmas cards reduced 70% off and they were buy one get 1 half price! Also had bows and curling ribbon the same offer. Thought I'd pick up a couple of packs as I haven't found the ones I made since moving house, oops. The gift books in Debenhmas were same deal too, 70% off, ad buy one get one half price. Some are around £1-£2 so pretty bargainous!

Keep hunting through the argos clearance site, but there never seems to be anything good in the store near me, shame!

    Hope everyone is ok x

Thats a really good idea, as without sounding daft people will put the effort in to get a nice present for £5, rather than just going to Boots and getting a £20 gift set (unless u got them in Jan's sales!!!)

    xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
