Great news about the hood enjoying her new school. Was the best decision I ever made transferring DS.
Well my crafting has gone out the window can't seem to concentrate on anything with the sun shining...lol
Lol at your suitcases mum2 one. DH wouldn't let me near an airport if they were over weight. Spends all his time weighing them.

I'm busy sewing Susan, have another craft fair this weekend plus need some more stuff to fill up my online shops. Making some cushions with applique pictures on done by hand so taking a while to do but nice and relaxing.
My Dad has been in hospital for his op, he is out now and getting on ok. Got another wedding to go to on Friday, my niece this time. Have an outfit all ready although the jacket is a bit tight still so might give in and wear a cardigan instead. Someone gave me the jacket and thought it was an 18 but feels more like a 12 or 14 so doubt I will get away with it unless I want my arms stuck out sideways like a bird all afternoon lol.
Diet still going well although been a little bit stuck the last couple of months, but weight gone down a bit this week, another two pounds and I will have lost 5 stones.
OH gave me a list of things he wants for birthday, I have saved them to Amazon wish list, got one of them already, some new car mats, they came yesterday luckily and he was at work so have managed to hide them in my wardrobe. Have ordered another book to make a bag and have a bid on another one, ED wants one made out of a twilight book, only thing is the cover is plain underneath the dust cover so I am going to see if I can stick the dust cover to the book first and may be cover it with sticky back plastic to protect it all.0 -
Haha Mum2One - I did the very same when I went to Canada. Before I went my friend who I was visiting out there said "I've found the perfect shop for you, you'll love it, it's called Dollerama and is our version of the pound shop!!"
Well I got there and I've never seen a better shop in my life, so many wonderful high quality crafty items for a dollar!!
My case was over on the way back, but I said to the check in man "your shops in this wonderful country are amazing, we don't have shops in Scotland!!" and he let me away with it!!0 -

Hope everyone ok, this feels weird to say but all good here!!
Miss Hoodie got her 1st sports day coming up theyve been praticing for that, shes happy, its great to see.
Just a reminder - Fathers Day at the weekend, - were sorted bar card for adopted Grandad - but have presents.
Dad (from me) - FCUK set (boots 75% sale) set of 3 books about a country estate and bottle of Whisky (coz it was Duty Free!!)
off Miss Hoodie - Set of books based on life on a narrowboat, then one about country fireman, (turns out we know the bloke who wrote it!!), car care set (sponge and demister)
Adopted grandad (great Uncle - been grandad from day 1) - he has got bottle beer, and an alarm clock.

Then July got mum and dads bday - bit of a cop-out, but paid for a week away over summer - staying on a Buffalo / Rare breeds farm - about 1hr from home. They run a b+b, but also have 1 caravan sited at the bottom -
Not sure what Miss Hoodie getting them, - give her £10 each to choose what she wants!
Where has the year gone - can't believe we're nearly half way through to Xmas. I just had to alter the xmas list as Miss Hoodie will have a male teacher (at old school would have been female) but as I have couple spare men's set - just use one of them.
Had some unexpected news - but good news tonight - one of my close friends texted to apologise she hasn't been in contact much recently, she was away, then we were away, - she had a scare she found a lump, luckly ultra scan, mammogram and sample lump taken for testing, it was a cyst. Bless her heart she didn't want to say anything as everything I was going through. So glad she got the all clear.
Rufus - was going to rack your brains as you've done the book bags - we just have a plain hardback, Miss Hoodie has got load of doggie pictures she wants on it, so I was thinking of glueing them on, then painting over with varnish - do you think that work??
Take care everyone, and big hugs xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Mum2one, yeah I am sure that will work. Think the bags are only going to be strong enough to use for evenings and special occasions anyway due to being glued (unless you can find some miracle glue lol).0
