room 2 1st ngt - bathroom floods - used 6 towels to clean up (fri ngt) we can't do anything to monday!! they agree to find a technician - be fixed Sat morning
Sat morning - techicinal man comes - all fixed - sat afternoon - leak again - inbetween times only got sand coming out of my pipes - you needed guess what state the floor was in -
Back to reception - again!!
Sat ngt - technical man beenagain - another set towels - another flood - theres me marched up to reception in my nightshirt (1st thing handy), washbag, and Miss Hoodie - all I wanted was a shower - sp politely suggested that they get the rep involved, they get me moved hotel at their cost and that this holiday I have friends who want to go there next yr and how could I possibly recommend it - never seen anyone go so white or move their rear so quick
As an apology and it was bday on the Sunday - got a free al-a-carte meal, bottle champange, they made a lovely bday cake, if we go again we get free uograde to the bungalows......... could save £300

Echo I love the drawing, ty for sharing. I'm sat in hospital bored. OH got something stuck in his ear. You think he was a 2 year old... Last time he went to docs or hospital was 31 years ago for himself. They took ages to find his records lol. I'm there every week so he knows where to go...
I'm intrigued.... What was stuck in his ear?! Hope whatever it was has been successfully extracted!Sealed Pot Challenge - No. 117

Hi all
I've been awol as had a 7 days week of heavy socialising, feel exhausted.
Echo - that's a lovely drawing of the children, what is amazing that a simple line drawing can bring them to life
Rufus - hope you enoyed your birthday tea and the day itself - any nice pressies?
Susan, you are always mysterious lol first it was DS's Easter pressie now it's OH's ears
Mum2one, I don't think you could go anywhere without something happening. That was most unfortunate to get so many problems on holiday and also return to one. At least you are a very assertive lady and can get results.
On the subject of re-using old books, I saw an unusual craft project, cutting out a square in the middle of a thick open book and using it as a plant pot!
The pressed flower idea between glass reminded me of using old buttons to create one large letter of the alphabet - frame it and give it as a pressie.
Also sticking buttons or flat pebbles at the sides and making coasters. It looked good in the photos, what they would be like to make I have no idea.
Warm welcome to our new members.0 -
Hi Anglea, Birthday went well thanks, ED and Son turned up with their families, no sign on YD lol, that's teenagers for you, only see her now when she wants something, birthday or no birthday. She did send me a facebook message though. Had some nice clothes for my birthday plus a PS3 game I wanted, and got money of some people so bought another gold letter charm for my bracelet and put it in to the jewellers to have 4 altogether put on. OH bought the charm bracelet for my 50th birthday and when other people asked me what I wanted for my birthday that year I suggested a charm with their initial on (they were all close family). I had them all put on in order of when I knew them from and have been adding the ones I didnt get as I go along. Need another 10 at the moment to have the full family. The letter I needed the other day was an L for one of the grandson's, asked the lady in the shop if she had any and she said they only had a few left at the moment, got the tray out the window and there was an L on it with little white stones on it. She said they were still selling at the old price which was £14 but if she had had to order one in it would have cost me more like £40 no with the price of gold going up.0

Hi Rufus . Glad you had a good birthday, happy birthday by the way.
Welcome back mum2one , sorry your holiday was such a washout (pardon the pun) glad your back .
Angela - I wasn't being mysterious honestly... Lol . I didn't know if I could make the chocolates but I done it . As regards OH ear it a bit silly really now he confessed. He was using a cotton bud and the end come off in his ear. So what does he do? He came up with a brainwave after trying various things . He would get it out with a threaded screw . Well guess what happened? He got the screw stuck in his ear as well. I looked in his ear and couldn't find anything. But he wouldn't let me know what was it there. So we ended up in casualty because when he phoned the doctor they said they couldn't do it. He wouldn't tell me but I heard the doctor telling him off, that teach him. Last time he went to hospital was that long ago there were no records for him.

Hi all
Glad you had a good day Rufus. I love the idea about the charms.
Strange but a moment ago when I was reading your post, I could only see half of it so had to leave the site, then return.
Susan, om goodness, OH and his ears!!! It must have been a small screw to have lost it. I wonder if he tried getting it out with a magnet. Hope it wasn't painful to remove in hospital.I bet he was embarassed getting told off.
On the subect of ears, what is your view - some doctors tell you to use cotton wool after putting in ear drops, others say don't put it in your ears as tiny fibres can get stuck?0 -

Sorry to your OH but that just made me laugh out loud and sort of snort....which was all kinds of attractive!!!! Bless him, that's hilarious!! Glad all ended well though. I once heard a doctor say you shouldn't insert anything in your ear that is smaller than your elbow!Echo you should push yourself forward for illustrating , your very good at it
You're so sweet, thank you. I'm really not though, I can only copy shapes, can't make anything up, e.g. if I wanted to draw DD resting her head on her hands I would have to take a photo of her doing that. I have a long range plan of some proper drawing lessons one day though (maybe once I have won the lottery.....). Am now working on drawing for my friends of them with their baby, first go at drawing adults!
I love the button idea, will definitely bear that one in mind. Maybe on a kind of padded background. Hmmm. Can see it!
Hope that everything is having a good Monday.Sealed Pot Challenge - No. 117
