Omo - thank you for the share of the poem. Hope you are ok. I do read your thread but you go so quick , it's impossible for me to keep up

Mum2one - what a lovely idea dressing up as chit ty bang bang, shame it's an expensive close to Xmas . Some parents might be pushed to limit as it is . Hope your sore teeth sorts themselves out

Rufus - you been having little glitches for a while eg subs and posting , perhaps an email might be in order to the site

Echo - what a lovely thing to do with wrapping paper. I been making my own tags so perhaps some wrapping paper be nice to go with it

Angela - hope your doing ok , your very quiet.. Busy I expect with the run up

Well what to do today , this wind has put paid to going out. Not very good on the feet, so I'll probably be blown over. Best stay inside. On a plus note cards to be made and some more gift tags I think

Susan I am wondering if it was because I named some make up that I was going to tell you all about. I'll try to tell you without actually naming the brand. Me and my friend went to the chemist shop that you can wear on your feet lol, She wanted mascara, and always buys the one that begins with L' then the next word begins with O and ends with L, I am sure you can work it out. Her mascara was £11 and I saw a deal that said spend £15 and get free gift worth £28, so I got an eye liner and we put them together and got the free box of goodies. When we looked in there later she didnt want any of it so gave it all to me. Was a nice red lippy in a gold case, red nail varnish to match and a glitter mascara, all full size items. She also got a till spit for £2.50 off foundation so I went back yesterday and bought myself one and with the extra £2.50 saving I bought another nail varnish, cheap one this time. I have put the make up in a little basket for YD along with some small toiletries I had. I am going to pad it out with some cheaper make up that she normally buys. Will be a nice addition to her presents.

Hope you can work out the cryptic clues, not sure whether it was either of them that blocked my post but think it must have been xx

Forgot to add, I posted a pic of the cushion for grandson on my closed group I belong to on Facebook, I dont want to post it too many places in case they see it, but I got an order for one from an online friend so I will be doing the picture for that today.

    Hi all

Sorry I've been awol, can't think why but I have been socialising a lot as usual.

Today will be a bit unusual. A female friend from MSE I've never met but have been corresponding with for years is coming this afternoon for a few days.

DS2 will also be here today for his usual weekend visit.

The reason she is coming today at the same time as DS is because Friday is the last day for one of the pubs I've told her about, such a shame it's closing as it's hundreds of years old and she's wanted to see it as well as meet the people I'm always talking about. We could never coordinate weeks we were both free in the past so it had to be today or miss the chance to see the pub. It's the same place where I went to that Halloween party. That night was supposed to be the last back in October, but they had an extension..

Challenge - got ex to change smoke alarm battery. He said the connection was loose, I didn't have pliers to hand so he said it might start going off. As things went out of sync that day I forgot to ask him to get the decs out of the loft.

I have got one of the annoying admirers/friends to delete my number off his phone so next week I can focus on Christmas, as he keeps calling me non stop and it's hard to concentrate on my to do lists. It was his birthday this week and four of us had a really nice meal - which was good, but the amount of calls I had on the run up to it was ludicrous. He was doing the same yesterday when I wanted to do grocery shopping and met up with a friend for lunch, but when I came across the admirer by accident he was telling me off for not answering my phone that morning as he kept calling - I was in the dentist chair!!!

Today when she arrives I hope to take her to some other pubs. Another reason I wanted to delete my number from the admirer is he said he would call me today to find out where I was with the friend. I expect I'll run into him somewhere but am praying I don't as he probably won't leave us alone..

Sorry this post is all about me, I've read all yours. I'm not dressed and DS2 will be here with his support worker soon, just hope they are not early. I was doing chores about 2 am as I couldn't get into the right frame of mind earlier and I was out in the day.

Sugarspun, I didn't realise your OH was in hospital, sorry.

Back again, waiting for friend to arrive so can do your replies.

Mum2one, hope you get a good outfit for Miss Hoodie. She does a lot of interesting things. Sorry to hear you've been ill again. Hope the teeth settle down after all that work.

Susan I was thinking about your craft room and today's weather and what would happen if the window was open and a huge gust of wind blew everything around, would that help with the clearing up or hinder it? lol

Rufus, that was strange about your blocked post. I'm surprised it would have been due to brand names because they get named on contest and freebie threads. It must feel good to get orders for your cushions.

OMO - that's a great poem, thank for posting.

Echo - well done on your progress even though it meant getting out of a snuggly bed.

Mum2one, that must have been awful for your friend to lose that cash with a scam website. I don't do anything financial online even though I want to, years back I had problems with paypal and since then haven't bothered. I know Sugarspun had a bad experience also recently.

Are there any good ways to buy/sell/surveys etc not using a debit card or paypal?

How are you getting on with the stocking Mrs Moneypenny?

Everyone is sounding a bit frantic! Take care, hope no one is suffering in the high winds.

Sugar spun I hope OH is doing well.

Having a slight stress about what to get Mr Delta's great aunt. She's comfortably off (so if she wants something she gets it) and in her 90s. She likes a particular perfume but has enough to last years! Plus it's her birthday on Boxing day - does anyone have any ideas?!

Hope everyone ok and not suffering with the weather.

Good news teeth or should I say lack of it!! seems to have eased off, - this may sound a weird question, but normally when you have a filling do you have an anisethic, (excuse spelling), 1st time that I can recall having one.

Thought slept like a log - it was 5.30am... so got up and put marizapan and icing on the cakes were giving away at xmas, went back to bed at 8am...

Wrapped up 2 food hampers - got presents ready to deliever on Sat, the car looks like Santas Grotto on wheels, but were taking presents for 5 people.

Rufus - That sounds like a bargain and a half, have to have a peep xx
