Mum2one - that's a shame about the table top sale and a sickie bug as well :-(

There doesn't seem to be much money about this year have noticed people buying but being careful about there things.

I think the food putting a strain on people without the presents, a lot of my friends have made budgets for their friends and their not so close family

I myself am feeling the difference all the kids have steady gf / bf and they're all having something :-)

I love christmas , I love the giving, I have problems with the receiving. I don't like people to spend theirs on me (apart from OH) I like them to keep it for themselves.

I've given up buying anymore you can go on forever can't you?

Tomorrow I've allocated to making cards. Was hoping to do some today but made 1 then had a migraine . Feel a lot better now but I'm staying in bed today and will crack on tomorrow.

Money penny - been thinking about your stocking , how's it coming along? I'm starting mine after Xmas lol
Challenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income

Sorry for a downer, but a friend of mine has just got scammed online for £200 - she thought she got a bargain - paid by debit card - went today to check for delievery details and the website disappeared.

Apparently the bank have told her if the company comes back for more money there stop any future payments but tough luck....

    xx

Susan - Glad your all ok, do we see wedding bells in the horizon!!

Mrs MoneyPenny - Thank you, - got a stall at daughters school Friday (£10 table) hopefully make a few quid, weird on Sunday Santa sleighs literally flew out, thou had £2 and nothing, then reduced to £1.50, worded out they cost me 76p to make, (kinder bar, 2 candy canes, mini choc bar, packet of puffed rainbow drops, 2 choc coins and little Santa) - but its the time that goes into making it.

Good news - all went well at the dentist, had tooth out, and a filling, bless his heart he put in a white filling (even thou NHS dentist), looked like a gerbil when I came out, filling on upper left, tooth out lower right.

Delievered my 1st set of Xmas presents, - took a little present to the dentist (Parker Pen - was a freebie) and for the dental nurse - I did a Snowman soup (cup was a cupcake with a lid (bingo win) so very mse.

    xx

Small and I made some more wrapping paper today. And we also made some paper snowflakes to decorate the window (free paper from when they changed the letter head at work so very mse!)

Still not actually wrapped of delivered anything yet (except for one thing which I delivered in Nov as I wasn't going to see that person again until New Year) :o really need to do some... In fact I should probably do some now rather than lying here all warm and cosy in bed with Small (I love bedtime cuddles!)

  • I actually did some wrapping! The stuff to post and the stuff for our "pre Christmas Christmas" with friends next weekend. And I cleaned Small's octopod that I got second hand and it is pristine now :)

Echo - The wrapping paper sounds a lovely way to spend time together, i use to love doing the snowflakes.

Quiet day here, recovering from the dentist - so all plans went out of the window, got to wrap pottery tomorrow - no excuses -

Now have to find a WW2 costume for Miss Hoodie for her Christmas service with school, - there doing extracts from Chitty chitty bang bang - the note did say they could wear what they wore when they dressed up - steam train trip - as thou they were being evaucated - apart from dress to small!!

Sods law when we were at Primark - there was a skater dress for £5 - would have been perfect... typical... thou on plus side could make a little morning or so out and get a couple of xmas prezzies....... xx

Don't often come on this thread, but I have a tea bag poem. It may be of use to some of you.
It's a great little thing to send to someone close that you won't be seeing over Christmas.

On Christmas Day at half past 3
Sit down and drink a cup of tea
I'll think of you, you'll think of me
While sitting by the Christmas tree.
