Morning all
I am pleased with myself, managed to finish cutting out all the bits for the bag I am making, with a bad back that was a feat. The hardest bit is out of the way now as I can sit and do the rest. Not sure how much of it will get done this weekend as grand prix on today and tomorrow and football on tomorrow too lol, got to get my priorities right haha. I have finished the main embroidery on the canvas, need to do the felt for the hair now, I ordered a pack of mixed browns yesterday to use so waiting for that to come.
Hope you all have a good weekend xx0 -

Laura - Your braver than me making all the cards - unless its blue Peter ideas, i've had it!!
me sees one little problem with your planning, - yes a good idea to get a small box of chocs for the emergency present - but they may get lonely in the bag by themselves, so maybe a bigger box could look after them!! xx
The cards probably won't be all that amazing but it's the thought that counts. I've made a few more and they are all different so later in the week I'll put on a picture of the one's I have done so far.
I do think you are right about the chocolates, I better get that problem sorted there's nothing worse than a lonely box
The gloves you are making sound brilliant I can't wait to see those.
Also how is the mint vodka made?
Rufus - That bag is amazing I wish I was capable of something that goodSealed pot challenge 18750 -
Rufus that bag is brilliant!!
Angela a minion is a little character from Despicable me a kid film - they are super cute.
As for wonder web being strong enough for a cushion, I always use it for hemming and then stitch over the top, I have very bad hands and cannot work with pins. I need it held better. I often glue too, its all trial and error. I made my daighters dance bag that way and it takes all her shoes and stuff very well. Thats 18months old now.
I got matchmakers in Sainsbury for a £1 if anyone is still looking?
I sourced some nice buttons the other day, car boots are great! I also got a couple of stocking pressies for pennies there. Thats how all of Christmas will be now as the wonderful HMRC do not back date missed tax credits now, they spread it over the remaining period of claim so I get a whole £4 a week. I am glad I am getting it back but it is going to take me several weeks to get back on an even keel so was very upset this morning.
So this weeks plan is to look at what I have and do a list properly and wrap the bits up and to get a card for my parents in the card store as they have their full range in already. They start at 29p so I think thats in my budgetLife happens, live it well.0 -
Laura16 - the mint vodka - used 1/4 bottle of vodka and added 8 wethers mints into in, gone a white colour, there dissolved already.
I do it in small batches to try (got a few 5cl bottles) as that way if rank not wasted any.
Success - toffee (use smartprice asda toffee) fudge (cheap and cheerful again), skittles only used red and orange,
fails - mixed skittles (brown), fruit pastilles (went into jelly).
Hope everyone ok xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
