Will the folks that ran the pub be able to give your DS a reference? Can he get their address? It will all help with any other job he goes for. Are there any other pubs in the locality that his current managers can slip a good word in for him? Something like that would count hugely in his favour and may get him some part-time work.

    yes I hope they can.

My car broke down on the way home tonight so we have only been in for a short while. So It's been a very long day and for once I am relieved that I had bought DGD a McD on the way home so she was distracted when we did breakdown , luckily it was at the end of the road so DS walked down and helped me take my stuff home and stay with DGD when I went back to wait for the AA.

Wonder what today will bring. Twin1 is still away. Twin2 is having trouble trying to get her non paying lodgers out. They are messing her about. Biggest of Mooloo had her around to help with the DGDs yesterday when she went to the physio and warned her again about them. She has said she will go around tomorrow and throw them out with help from Police if they are not gone by tonight at 6pm. They have been told ever since the court case they had to go and have been avoiding me on my visits up. Dispute twin2 writing them a letter for the council they didn't bother taking it up there and it was found stuffed under the sofa! So not thrilled but am confident Biggest will now act accordingly.
I am working again today and tomorrow so sorting them out for me will be a big help.
DS has some mates over, sleeping on my front room furniture so they are about to get a rude awakening when I have finished my cup of tea. Molly's daughter is looking after DGd for me today, it will be her last official day as we go away then when we come back she is off to university and DGD will be going to the after school club at her old nursery school while I return to practically full time work. (If my body continues to allow me too!).
Fingers crossed the ar will start this morning and I will get too work. Every penny counts as usual.

  • Could DS not get a paper round, work in the late night Spar or petrol station... or anything else like that. Unskilled work, rather than hanging out in your home, with his friends, using your electricity and gas?

Sorry, but I feel he really needs a kick up the backside! I know if I had ever behaved like he does, I would have been told where to go.

Mooloo - when are you going to get it through DS's thick head that if he is not contributing to the family income then his friends ARE NOT WELCOME in your home??? You really do need to get tough with this young man - he is taking you for a sucker! He was told when he came back last time what the house rules were and he is ignoring them again. :(

He's taking you for a chump, and your furniture will stink of sweaty socks and smelly boxers if it becomes a regular occurence.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

It all goes in one ear and out the other with him. Am going on holiday Thursday so will have to have another serious chat with him but yes I am too soft. I feel like I am hitting my head on a brick wall 90% of the time with all my kids. Just had a row with twin2 over her so called lodgers. When she looses her home she will find out the hard way. Could tell she was being prompted by them in the back ground. Sick of it. Wonder why I bother.
On a good note the car passed its MOT today. Phew! One more job ticked off my list.

Last day at work in the unit. Well probably not be in the normal unit as have been spending the last two days sorting out mountains of clothes, shoes and bags that they have horded. The aim is to make room to move me and my sewing machines etc into the newer unit so we are all under one roof. I am helping to structure the storage and show them the kind of things to keep and the stuff to pass on to the rag man. Fun but hot and dusty work. My arm has coped so far which is good. But I am missing being creative.
Holiday tomorrow. Yippee. Two weeks where I switch off from the problems at home, soak up the sun, play sandcastles with DGD and swim in the sea! (Brrr the Atlantic is a cold sea! Near takes the breathe away).
Managed to finish two alteration jobs last night so am up to date with my sewing at home.
Molly is in hospital today, in London, my thought are with her and her family during this scarey time for her. I can't explain exactly what it is that she is having done, but it's to do with the pains in her head.
Time to get dressed. Throw the last few things into my over night bag and take DGD to her Aunty again.
DS has a job interview in Towcester Mueseum but its currently a voluntary position, the Manager is the o my paid member of staff. Good for C. V but not for the wallet !

Damn, I thought you were going tomorrow so popped on to say happy holidays.

Sending hugs to Molly, hope you are doing OK and the treatment is effective. Good luck to your daughter as she starts uni too
