    Thanks DFW, I will share in due course :)

    I'm so glad it's Friday and the weekend :j I made a small OP of £50 this morning, as we've hardly spent anything this week.

    Me and DH are spending time with various family members this weekend and I'm very much looking forward to it :) it'll involve food, chat, hopefully lovely weather and a chance to relax - what more could anyone ask for?

    In other news, I have 100 books to mark this weekend. Trying not to dwell on that.....

    Hi SF

    Sorry to hear you're feeling fed up at work but I know how you feel. I work long days and still have to bring work home at evenings and weekends. Then we always seem to have marking scrutinies, lesson drop-ins, progress meetings, coordinator meetings, ed. psych. review meetings, parent consultations etc etc - there is something extra every week! I'm always thinking of ways to leave and it does get you down [STRIKE]all the time[/STRIKE] sometimes.

    Keep us updated of your plans and general day-to-day stuff, I'm sure there are lots more people like me who read but don't post often :o

    ljaneyr - thanks for popping by :) in the nicest way possible, it's good to hear that other people understand how I'm feeling :o not that I want you to feel the same, if you get me? I just think that there's so much to plow through at times, and not enough time!

    Yesterday started with a treat of a breakfast out - both me and DH had the full english breakfast and boy was it tasty :D we then went for a nice walk as the weather was so nice, ending with a stop in a cafe for a cream scone :D:o

    Following on the theme of food for the weekend, we're going out for Sunday lunch with DH's Aunt and Uncle, which I'm sure will be lovely as they always take us to expensive places which we could never afford :rotfl:

    Then I'll come home and get on with the marking that I'm trying to avoid :o I also need to do some more sorting out - our shredding pile is getting very high :o

    Happy Sunday everyone!

    Not updated for a week, oops :o

    I've made a pretty extravagant purchase today; I've bought a bike! :D it was in the sale at Halfords and I've been keeping an eye out for ages, so took the plunge when a good deal - it was 50% off and it'll be a good hybrid bike. It also means that me and DH can go on bike trips together :) which means another way of spending time together!

    But, after doing the budget and updated our spreadsheet we're still on track for the month, so long as I don't buy anything else big :D:o:D

    Arrrgh :wall::wall::wall:

    I feel like I'm constantly wishing my life away. I'm currently waiting for the Easter holidays, where I'm visiting a friend in London and I'm very much looking forward to. I'm wanting it to be summer so that we get to go on our amazing Canada/America trip. I want it to be next year so we can start to think about starting our own family.

    It doesn't ever end! *and breathe*

    I'm also starting to get slightly fed up of scrimping and saving and it not making *that* much different to the numbers, and yet I don't really understand why. When you're in it for the very long term, like we are, it's hard to see the smaller milestones you hit.

    I appear to be in a bit of a grump today :o
