Very similar to my experience, all will be well though and the trauma (and it is a trauma) does fade into distant memory. On a plus note BF has great bond with miniOCC spending his first time in the world with him :) on a negative note I was traumatised for ages and didn't have any further kids which I now regret as its too late :( if you feel same get counselling quickly :)

I also fell down stairs on my bum after about a week with a squillion stitches. Not a great idea!

    Any names?

Oh SF! I'm so glad baby is fine (his weight is identical to our 33-year-old's at birth and he grew up to be a strapping back row forward, playing for three counties)!

Don't worry, you'll be doing plenty of skin-to-skin stuff and nappy changing and chin wiping and all the rest over the next few months/years!

Congratulations to you all, Mr GG broke the news to me and we're so pleased :j
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
